Jundal taught Hindi to Kasab, others

Abu Jundal, one of the alleged handlers of the 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists involved in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai, had taught them Hindi and Marathi.
Reports of Jundal’s interrogation conducted by the officials of the Intelligence Bureau in July — which are in possession of HT — reveal that the one-week training took place at Muzaffarabad at the end of August 2008. The terrorist group also had to undergo special training in swimming before receiving language training from Jundal.
On Thursday, Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole surviving terrorist involved in the attack, had identified Jundal as their ‘Hindi teacher’. Kasab had been brought face to face with Jundal at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail.
According to Jundal, the Lashkar bosses also had a plan of disinformation ready. The attackers had been instructed to tell the media that they were members of “Deccan Mujahideen” and had come from Tolly Chowki in Hyderabad.
But that plan fell through when Kasab got caught.
On the evening on November 26, 2008, the conspirators were gathered at the control room in Karachi’s Mallir area. Following the orders of Lashkar leader Al Qama, Jundal was giving instructions to terrorist Abu Aksa and Abu Ahad, who was in Oberoi Hotel.
The Lashkar hierarchy was pleased with the results.
But when the news of Kasab’s arrest came, they all became morose, as they felt the involvement of the group will soon be exposed and the identity of the conspirators will be disclosed.
