U have written that Caste system make difference in peoples and distribute people and group for specific task like brahmans, shuds, thakur etc . It used to be earlier not know,well any one came can become a prime minister or president.
Earlier A caste was based on social standing, heredity and ethnicity while A sect is a division of a religion,caste used to be a SOCIAL position,sect is religious doctrine based society.
Actually my response was to a Pakistani poster who wrote that he embraced Islam due to failed caste system. My knowledge of Islam is limited. But I remember reading somewhere that in Islam there are 73 sects,All Muslim sects happily claim that their sect is the ‘saved one’ (naji) and the ‘others’ are destined for hell.

Actually 73 sects is a myth and we have more then 73 sects and yes few of them claim that they are the only who is naji but as a whole all a agree that when someone recite Kalma then all his sins and other matters will be handed over to Allah and it is he the supreme power to decide the faith of human being. We called that mutafiq aaliya.

Correction :

Caste : Pathetic word given by Britishers, it was Jati used to divide people based on the service they used to provide to the society. Later on exploited by Brahmins, and changed in the last chapter of Rig veda i.e 10th .

Sect : Its not somebody chooses, but it is what somebody becomes based on his/her parents belief. So don't bring the sh!ts like "people choose Sunni, Shiya or Ahmedi coz they are willing".

Jati & Sects both are same, everybody gets tagged the moment they are born & they all discriminate against each other.

Then enlighten us that who force them to follows?. Few of my family members are Ahlay Hadith, few of my relative are from Shia community and i my self following Hanafi but in some cases Shaifi or Hambali. By the way Ahmedi is not a muslim because they stated that Prophet Mohammed was not last messenger of Allah

. There is no information as to what happened to those followers.. were they really the seed of Muslim community in the subcontinent? We don't know..we do know is that the conquest of makran was when Muslims used a base in panjgur to further extend their arm towards east.we know many converted in the meanwhile and actual Muslim majority towns started popping up around Indus. This extension was more prominent during m Qasims era but it actually started back in 2nd caliph s time.The. course of history tells us the Muslim communities started building up in India after Junaid and his successors invaded present day India from the west and not the other way around. Besides whether Muslim traders first landed Kerala or some other port on the west(less proximity) is also debatable.
