There are people in Turkey with Daesh ideology hence why it has foothold in Turkey.

The definition of a foothold is "a secure position from which further progress may be made." Ideological supporters do have somewhat of a secure positon in Turkey as long as they lay low and make progress in the name of "Daesh" in Turkey by whatever unjustified means they have. This has happened in the past and will likely happen again somewhere in Turkey, and you being Turkish should remember these.

He made a short appearance in a new video although he sounds and looks slightly different than the previous video of him in Mosul. I have a hard time believing he is successfully hiding. Chiefs of non-state actors in war zones don't survive. In Syria Tahrir Al Sham chief Al-Golani is likely alive to not mess up ceasefire efforts and because their role is confined within Idlib, and they are cooperating with world powers.

Al Bagdadi shouldn't be alive, even if he has an replacement, it would be a major symbolic strike. So he is intentionally being kept alive. As he brings much benefit when it comes to harming Sunni Islam and Sunni Muslims. As well as allows the Kurdish long term project in Syria to continue.

PS, he mentions various nations in MENA and Asia but made no mention of Israel or the Palestinians.
