ISIL Targets Saudi Intelligence Officers

As someone who is more close to the Saudi government than the entire PDF community combined 10 times over, I can say with authority that religion pays absolutely no part in the Saudi Government's calculations when it comes to policy what so ever, being either Sunni, Shia or Atheist, does not matter the slightest bit to the government, it is extremely secular in all its dealings, while true that internal policy has a bit of a harsh islamic tone, it is being slowly phased out, as the government awaits a more open generation.

The evidence of this is spread for all with a two bit of mind to see, in all of the Arab uprisings not once did KSA support an Islamist group, as it goes against KSA's policy of Secularizing the middle east, and in effect itself. Religion was deemed an extremely counter-productive force in the 90s after the Gulf War. I will not say more on the subject for now, but as I said, the only reason why KSA still holds on to the religious card now, is to counter Iran's own religious card and keeping it in check, but once the Iranian threat has been dealt with, more aggressive secular policies will be taken. This is why I can never forgive Iran for making us more religious than we plan to be.

That is news to me,is that true? On topic better to kill these snakes while they are in Iraq or pretty soon you will be fighting them in KSA

Yes I know this goes against everything the propaganda outlets have drilled into your head, isn't this amazing? You now have the opportunity to question them for once, I advise taking that opportunity and never letting go.

It is there for you to see, when has KSA recently supported ANY Islamist group? Politically or militarily, even in Syria KSA supported the FSA which was the Secular branch of the revolution, which is why FSA is being targeted by ISIS etc. it is because of their secular agenda for Syria. However Anti-revolutionist media was successful in painting the "Islamist" cloth on all revolutionaries as I see many people here believe as well.

Even the most staunchly Islamist part of KSA's internal politics is being secularized which is the law, beginning with creating a Non-religious court which is gaining more and more power with each passing year.

And then you have people like this, so tell me everyone, who is the real sectarian here??

Feel free to research everything yourself, distance yourself from stupid Anti-Saudi propaganda and tabloid articles, also from extremely pro-Saudi ones, everything too in favor or against is often untrue, always remember that there are two sides to any conflict and each seeks to evangelize themselves while demonizing the other, and everyone takes part in it. But if you research "Data" instead of "information", Data is not as easily corrupted as information is.

@Mosamania

No one doubts that groups like ISIS, TTP, Al Qaeda target the Saudi gov whenever they get the chance, after all those who returned from Afghanistan in the 80's were imprisoned. The Saudi gov used them against others before in history like Afghanistan and Syria until it all went wrong with ISIS turning against everyone. I'd say Bandar who was being shown as some genius fucked it up.

During the 80s, Saudi Arabia was on the western side of the Cold War, and during that time all countries made decisions to fight off against the others regardless of which side it was. Saudi Arabia never supported an Islamist group since then, ISIS as you said already existed in Iraq before, and it got more powerful in Syria, they had an extensive funding network that Saudi Arabia if any played only a minor part in since the government itself monitors every cent, while some do indeed slip through the cracks and of that I do not deny.

This group is being supported by various Islamists the world over, and I am willing to bet everything I own that currently, most of the funding to ISIS comes from European countries who are not allowed to monitor any money without a Judicial permit, but like always, KSA is where the blame is being dumped on, because Maliki would like to turn it Sectarian to raise his profile with the majority of the country.

I try not to watch Mainstream media

None Mainstream media is even more skewed than Mainstream media I am afraid. Research "data" not "information", don't read articles, I never do and in the rare chances that I do, I do it to spot the lies in it and I always do without fail, after all, it is written by a human to try and get his/her own point of view across, and trying to get people to believe your point of view is what propaganda is all about isn't it.

Examples of Data: Did Saudi Arabia reform the Judaical system? (Y/N)
Was the type of reform more secular or religious? (Secular/Religious)

And you can do this with all things, simple questions, with simple answers that don't go into "He said, you said" and you have got yourself reliable data, and with it you can make reliable information.

Well that is also a way to access neutral information

So , You mean KSA has not been supporting terrorists in Syria ? ( Especially in Daraa province )

Depends on your definition of "Terrorists", and since I know what it is, I am afraid it is quite skewed.

I don't think the Saudi gov is funding or helping ISIS, it's too risky on their borders and this group is against them. Today ISIS doesn't need a lot of help, they ambush checkpoints/bases and are able to take all the ammo and weaponry but they weren't that powerful a decade ago where they required funding.

The ISIS supporters in the west are mostly lower class thugs, they don't have that much money to donate and ISIS doesn't even need that anymore. IMO some of the wealthy citizens in the GCC are/were involved in financial backing, we know that many of them have gone through some religious brainwashing and think it's a good deed to support the 'mujahideen' for when they die. Islamic state Iraq/Islamic army Iraq/Shura council were the previous names of ISIS, this was going on a decade ago so those citizens must have been funding them back then. There's news of a Kuwaiti Shi'a sheikh donating millions to his side in Syria, the same from the Kuwaiti Salafis donating to Nusra/ISIS.

FSA was either wiped or the members divided in Islamist groups like ISF and Nusra front .

I have not seen 1 single FSA flag on net for more than a year . All we see is the black flags even in southern parts of Syria .

By the way , Jordan and KSA have an active role in Daraa province even though their money is wasted by corrupted local commanders and groups but they've been funding terrorists there , training and organizing them in Jordan soil and giving them treatment in Jordan's hospitals .

Here is a story for you, once a man I knew transferred 300,000SR to a bank account in the US as a gift to his son's graduation to buy a car, not 1 hour later was he arrested and questioned on the nature of that transfer, no one can transfer a large sum of money out of KSA without the government zeroing in on them, if wealthy individuals did manage to Smuggle the money out of the country, they are to be blamed instead of the government don't you agree?
