Afghan Strikes by Taliban Get Pakistan Help, U.S. Aides Say
By MARK MAZZETTI and ERIC SCHMITT
March 26, 2009

...............................................................................
Dont take such articles seriously.ISI has become a nightmare for the people who are talking about Safe Aghanistan or Pakistan.(means safe afghanistan at the cost of Pakistan).
There are several foreign journalist who are involved in Illegal Gem Trade from Afghanistan and Afghan government allows them to smuggle precious GEM Stones outside Afghanistan AND in return they write articles maligning the ISI and Pak army.
All these stories are concocted in Northren AFghanistan which is a centre of Gem business and so called foreign journalists are making frequent tours and making illegal earnings by trafficking of Gem Stones.
SMIQBAL.

Today there are thousands if not millions of propaganda made against Pakistan.

May Allah (swt) look after Pakistan.

Mr. Rahman didn't profess a hint at opposition to Canada's mission. Not once did he say that Canada should withdraw.

What he DID say was that he should have supported taliban attacks earlier.

Let us not get too fixated on Canada alone, although it is I that introduced it. I did so as it was the most obvious transgression within Mr. Rahman's comments.

Also enclosed, of course, in his desire to leap on the taliban bandwagon was the war made by the taliban upon the afghani people and all of ISAF.

"Who cares about the UN anyway."

Asim, the forty one nations performing the U.N. mandate care about the U.N. We're trying to do a job and your desire for strategic space there is killing afghani and ISAF people. We'd like that to stop before we become terribly upset.

That's fair, isn't it? Would you stop attacking Afghanistan with your proxy armies please?

ASIM, nobody kills more afghanis than the taliban. Google HRW and read their thoughts on the taliban's impact on afghani deaths. They have a complete study of such. You may also read about the impact of our airstrikes and other actions as well in a separate study by HRW.

However painful those events always are, we are squeaky clean in both the numbers killed as compared to the taliban and the incidence of intentional targeting of civilians.

We don't. They do. Often.

This has been a painful insurgency but NATO/ISAF/ANA are not responsible for the bulk of the deaths. The militants are. There'd, of course, be none were there not an insurgency. Alas, with sanctuary available in Pakistan, we've suffered grievously. So too others.

You rant wrongly and it'd be easily researched were you so inclined. You're presently not inclined but I hope that may change.

It's wrong for you to de-stabilize Afghanistan while seeking "strategic space". Pakistan should stop supporting the taliban so that more Afghanis and others aren't made to needlessly suffer while trying to raise forth their nation from the stone age.

Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.:)

You keep going on and on about the UN and 40 nation whatever team of heros on you side in the war against good and evil but answer the the qustion what was put to you and dont try sliming your way out.

I answered for S-2 about this statement in link 101 of this thread. Go through the salient points of the said UN resolution and let me know if Pakistan even took the first step towards its implementation - namely withdrawl of all irregulars and regulars from Kashmir for plebiscite to be held.

In case you want to go through the salient points of resolution:

U.N.Resolution on J&K August 13, 1948

or am sure you can google to see some other source if you find this "propogandist"

So what your saying is that you want pakistan to move its army out of kashmir and then you will hold a vote under the UN..?
What about a speech in the UN where the indian PM says in public that if pakistan moves out of kashmir it will hold a vote under the UN...

only one leader was widely acknowledged as leader of Kashmir that time - Sheikh Abdullah.

And this is link for his speech to UN security council

Excerpts From The Speech Made By Mr.Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah (India) In The Security Council Meeting No.241 Held On 5 February 1948

Nehru was also "widely acknowledged as leader of india that time".

[We] have no desire to impose our will on Kashmir … Our assurance is that we shall withdraw our forces from Kashmir … And leave the decision regarding the future of this state to the people …through the democratic method of free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nation. The pledge we have given not only to the people of Kashmir but also to the world. We will not, can not back out of it.”

its something for what was the issue pertinent back in 1948-49 ...... who the hell is saying about now? You asked for UN resolution and how Pakistan didnt get anything from it - the said resolution was passed then and the conditions that time were these which Pakistan failed to honour and is crying now after 60 years .... selective acts ... after the demography of kashmir on pakistan side has been changed .......

has Pakistan in past 60 years moved out EVER? NO!!!

The incumbent President and Prime Minister of Pakistan at the said period of 1948 had no such intentions ... you are crying over something that Pakistan as a state failed to honour back then and now wants implemented ... it is like India wanting settlement of Kashmir issue by vacation of kashmir in Pakistan control now on basis of 1971 when India could have forced anything after India had 90000 PA troops in captivity after fall of East Pakistan ...... its totally unrealistic and argumentative ......... with no validity in present time and space .....

First of all its not imaginable that pakistan will withdraw troops from *** . Secondly the 60 years old agreement doesn't hold any meaning in today's situation. And hence it is not binding on India to held plebicite .

It is noteworthy what Pakistanis claim were completely proven to be wrong .

1 . India's legal position on accession on kashmir is very strong.
2. Two nation theory has been proven wrong with division of pakistan in 1971.
3. Claims of freedom fights have been exposed with involvement of LeT in 9/11 and various other blasts . The real agenda of LeT and Taliban is to spread terrorism on the name of islam . It has nothing to do with freedom of people of kashmir. (Although we acknowledge the freedom movement is present in kashmir )
4. Plebisite can not be held in kashmir unless the hindu pandits who were made to leave kashmir can get back in kashmir .
5. Response to this years election in kashmir is noteworthy on the background that people were told not to vote by Hurriyat.

so there is no question of declaring plebicite now . Kashmir is integral part of India and will remain forever....Jai Hind .

If you're going to ignore the UN resolution for a plebiscite, then its good that there is an armed struggle against Indian terrorists.

asim, there is no ignorance of the said plebiscite. India was ready for same but it was incumbent upon Pakistan to first fulfil its part and then India to do so. What you are propogating is only India is liable for accord. We were ready for same, but Pakistan DID NOT withdraw own troops or irregulars ("tribals") from the territory under it which was the first pre-condition as set by UN and NOT by India for a plebiscite to be held. The draft is clear - it recognised Indian intervention on behalf of Kashmiri people in fight against invasion. It also accepted Pakistan's demand for plebiscite to be held (on lines of the one held in Junagadh). However, it called upon Pakistan to withdraw invading force, and then upon verification of same, the Indian Army was to be de-inducted with ONLY police force from member countries including India being deployed under UN mandate to oversee the process. However, what was apparent to Pakistan was that a Plebiscite was not likely be in their favor as the invasion and subsequent rape and plunder by "liberators" ensured sworn enemity of Kashmiris, so to scuttle the plebiscite pakistan did not withdraw forces.

Now after 60 years of serious demographic changes on Pakistani side when 2 generations have ensured "pakistanisation" of the populance, there is a call for plebiscite. Its too late in the day for this now

So your not willing to state in public that if pakistan pulls out of kashmir you will hold a vote under the UN........dont bring it up if your not willing to do it!

Stop babbling......The UN and simla are completely different......one is bilateral and the other international.

What are you indian so scared off......the kashmiris i thought loved india and hated pakistan....so there bound to vote to join india under a UN vote.....wont they?

Your the wanted us to read about abdullah and kashmir......why are you not so keen to read about what nehru said after all he was the leader and abdullah just normal politican

JIHAD FOR PEACE:sniper::sniper:

How many times must Pakistanis rip apart this argument over n over.

India and Pakistan were asked to reduce their troops not eliminate it. There was another resolution signed by both parties where specific numbers were decided upon. You should read ALL the resolutions not the ones of your choosing.
