Is US leaving Afghanistan in 2014 or the Generals lying?

Dear readers, although we cannot comment for the Pakistani Generals, we know that we are in Afghanistan on a specific mission, and that is to defeat terrorism and incapacitate the terror organizations that have been creating mayhem throughout the world. Our leadership has set a timetable for our withdrawal from the region. We have been successful in dismantling the Al-Qaeda network and working with our allies to do the same for Taliban and their supporters. The Afghanistan National Security forces have been trained and are quickly becoming self sufficient. Once the process of transferring the security duties to the Afghans is complete, our forces will fully withdraw. We have promised both Afghanistan and Pakistan our continued assistance and cooperation even after our forces leave the region.

Do you remember when we were accused of permanently occupying the state of Iraq? Do you see how that was proven wrong? Contrary to many opinions, the oil contracts have been awarded to the Chinese and Kuwaiti firms, and please remember that it is easy to indulge in conspiracy theories, but facts can lead one out of darkness. Dear readers, today Afghanistan is on the road to progress, and Afghans have the capacity to pursue their dreams. Isn’t freedom a beautiful thing?

Its hard to believe anything u guys say because your policy makers and generals are never on the same page. With a historical presence of military bases all over the world, and no sign of leaving anytime soon from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Germany, kuwait, Iraq, afghanistan, Italy, etc.

It's quite easy to sideline any assessment of US intentions as a conspiracy theory, but how would you respond to statements from your own Generals that actually erect a diff picture than your propagation? What happend to Obama's promised statement of withdrawal in 2011 that never materialized?

Freedom is indeed is a beautiful thing however not under a foreign occupation.

If Al-Qaida was based in Pakistan, would you have support the US launch war on Pakistan?

I would support Pakistan launch a war on Al Qaeda. Pakistan is a functioning state while Afghanistan is not.

There's no sense or logic to your argument. The US unilaterally went and attacked Afghanistan after 911 without any UN mandate. Without a trial or evidence of the Al Quaida being complicit in the attack.

US attacked Afghanistan because terrorists based in Afghanistan attacked United States. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

US declared war on Japan when Japan attacked USA on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.
Russia declared war on Germany when Germany invaded Russia in June 1941.

Follow the logic?

When you attack someone deliberately, the other country generally declares war and attacks you. :)

And how do you suppose you bring Al Qaeda trial. You want to send someone to subpoena them?

As for evidence, please lets not go there. That has been proven to death. Its just psychological. You will refuse to accept any evidence against Al Qaeda about 9/11.

The US also went to war with Iraq on false and dubious premises of having WMD's, do u also support that?

I never supported the war in Iraq. I was against it from the start. I even marched in major Anti-War protests in Toronto.

Most Afghans feel that Pakistan is the invader.

Most Afghans feel that their capital should be Bollywood, so who cares?

How can NATO leave in these conditions?
Nato is getting less and less support from its members to prolong war in Afghanistan. In the end its only USA and UK to fight a costly and meaningless war. They have no other choice than to accept defeat and retreat.

Talibs or Afghan's weren't involved in 911 attacks. Yes AQ was based in afghanistan, but does it make any sense to throw a 500+ billion to fight a ragtag militia which could have been politically solved? or there maybe some ulterior motives behind that huge investment? Is america anymore safer now? being in a deep recesssion, the military industrial complex is the only one profiting from this war while the rest of the economy is in shambles.

if they more stay in Afghanistan
than economy of west faces more tensions
