What's new

Is United Arab Emirates waging a media war against #Pakistan?

Yo man, ich weis
I am a bonehead with languages - a neanderthal. The only language I ever managed to learn, just about was English. I just slept through French and German lessons. The only reason I pased my exams was good teachers and beating from my dad at home to keep me focused.

Do you live in Germany?

Hey @A-Team Mate what we need to do is push US, UK and China to launch "coups" in Af-Pak and they place you in Kabul and me in Islamabad. A good chat, nice meal in Afghan restuarent and cup of chai afterwards. We would have Afghanistan and Pakistan sorted out lol ....

You see these muppets don't understand. What is wrong in our region. The mind set. The culture. The outlook. We need Kemal Ataturks in this region. I know in Afghanistan some effort was made back in 1930s. A revolution in culture, modes, mores needs to be made.

Although your never going make me a Indophile. I don't think I ever have told this before but most of my family for generations served in the army - dating to British era. And in 1971 Bangla war my uncle was captured. I was real young then but it had profound effect on me because I picked up the angst from my parents. Over time it became fossilized in my psyche. Too late for me to change now.

hahahahah :D touche.

You got that right mate ;)

I am just tired of this narrow minded thinking prevalent in our region, I am like guys stop thinking your village, your city, your town, you country, think big, think pan region, stop being shithole for eternity.

But then again remember the story of king Amanullah of Afghanistan, who started an aggressive policy of modernization, but alas idiots marked him as infidel and he left reign of power without firing a shot :P

So basically according to the Pakistani narrative UAE is the latest addition to the anti-Pakistan coalition consisting of USA-India-Afghanistan- Bangladesh-Iran ? Okay

But then again remember the story of king Amanullah of Afghanistan,
Here is the funny thing. Had he managed to push through and follow in the steps of Ataturk. Change to Latin alphabet, change clothing style, emancipate women, total no holds barred change in society. Over time brinmging profound change in thinking.Push religion to private space. Today migrants would be trying to flood into Afghanistan - not the other way around.

The thinking in our part of the world is "do more of the failed". There was a reason why the West progressed. As long as lessons are not learn't nothing will change. The bizzare thing is the very cheerleaders for redundant theories have no compunction in either catching the first boat to the West or living there. But are not prepared to see changes to their own societies that they enjoy openly in the West.

Most Pakistani's in UK are biggest fans of multicultural society. But in Pakistan it's the opposite. Anyway I guess this is how it's gonna be mate. I am pretty sure you can't have picked up your thinking in Afghanistan. Whereever your relax and enjoy life because I reckon this is one shot affair. Don't say I did not warn you.

Sometimes a person can be in the wrong time zone - like couple of centuries. Galileo Galilei got restituted few centuries afterwards .....

So basically
I assume that is failed attempt at sarcasm.Go book into a sarcasm school.

You should see what Pakistan media is saying: Modi gets warm receptions in Saudi Arabia and UAE and they see it as a move against Pakistan. As if having relations with India and Pakistan are binary.

India , Pakistan , Iran all have stepped up and will be amongst the biggest economies in 10 years time without any considerable regional integration. Talk of pan regional development when atleast you have something to show on the ground in Afghanistan. There can be no regional integrated projects in a country like Afghanistan due to weak institutions , corruption and security threats.

Pakistan has signed a deal to export JF - 17 fighter jets to Nigeria, Has more research papers than BRICS . Meanwhile afghanistan is busy exporting chars and afeem to 90 % of the world. :D . How do you expect Pakistan to take you seriously when your entire economy is not bigger than maybe Peshawer .

If $ 100 billion american dollars didnt raise how then how do you expect India , Pakistan or Iran to raise you up?

Where are those freaking surgical strikes?

What strikes ?

You need balls for that, which our leaders dont have.

You got the sarcasm and replied to it shows the sarcasm worked. Anyway, that is the only deduction one can make by observing the Pakistani narrative over the last 1 year. Also I'll add Israel to that. Missed em by mistake.

I'm not sure where you picked up your zeal for revolution. It couldn't have been in UK which is still clinging to its monarch. I'm going to assume the revolutionary zeal comes from your Pakistani DNA. Thank you, Allama Iqbal. :partay: :partay: :partay:

On a serious note, there are no magic wands. A slow evolution of the society is far more preferable than any revolutionary model and all it requires is continuity. America is a fine example of this slow evolutionary process. And you never underestimate the power of the internet which is allowing people to access information and that itself is a quiet revolution. The motto of, "Life imitates art? or art imitates life?" has been replaced with, "Twitter/Facebook imitates life? or Life imitates Facebook/Twitter?"

Unfortunately, This is a fact that #GCC countries are not now with Pakistan. They have forgot the lesson of #Islam.

I thought because you mentioned "Kraut", you could speak German. :D

Anyway, I very much admire German philosophers and inventors.

The culture of innovation and constant "look forward" attitude that you find in Germany is simply amazing (minus some of those "Rechtradikale") .

So Pakistan, a country twice the size of Germany (population and area wise) could learn a lot from these great people.

They have forgot the lesson of #Islam.
I thought that was forgotten within decades of the death of Muhammed (PBUH)? I guess you missed out on the bloodlust that followed within decades? You know killing, intrigues, murders of even the prophets lineage?
