The reason that Pakistanis on PDF support the Taliban is because they see it as their "soft power" in Afghanistan, taking their share of Afghanistan and blocking the Indian influence in there. We have no interest in Afghanistan like that.[/QUOTE]
In a way correct we look at things from countering what we see is New Delhi's hideout spots in Kabul but the Taliban is not a monlith of a group and they are Pakistanis that oppose using them in the establishment and in the diplomatic corridors the thing is there is not much of choice in Syria you had Strong Secular Nationalist leader and groups plus unifying cause to fight Afghanistan not so much since the Soviets left in 1989
Again everyone enemy until certain interests arise they share are common the Syrian conflict is a good example of that

I wasn't talking about morality. I am saying that we cannot trust them with game changing weapons.
We do not want the Americans in Afghanistan out at the cost of creating another enemy which has nothing to lose. If we want to support them, we should first be able to control them by gaining influence within their organization. And we do not have influence in the Taliban now.
They are near our border. You should think twice before arming an enemy that lives right next to you.
