Is this India-China treaty possible????

.
Nah not happening as of yet....When the time right it'll happen in a Natural process of mutual consent .

I don't see any value in it as of yet, we have business with em...we have interchanging FDIs and acquisitions ..what else does any one country what from the other?..

Quit bringing up "India China friendship" shenanigans...Waste of Time and Energy if perused half heartedly .

Aren't you the same guy who calls us "Chinks"?

The fact remains Chinks grow a mouth on em only when they distance themselves from the regime..either by traveling outside or defecting.

. .
Hey guys after going through numerous articles about Sino-Indian relations from both side's views and their perceptions i came up with the following treaties(its only a concept) which both india and china should sign to build a strong bond like of EU and US:

1. Dispute settlement treaty

1. India agrees to acknowledge aksai chin as integral part of tibet(china) while china gives up claims over arunachal pradesh and recognises it as well as J&K a part of India.
2. China creates a special zone under chinese central govt in tibet bordering india and allows the tibetan refugees to return and settle there with their own provincial govt. like hongkong and macau. In return India removes restrictions of movement of chinese visitors in indian states.
3. China stops supporting insurgents in N-E and India stops supporting tibetan freedom fighters.
4. Both countries acknowledge that 1962 episode was a mistake and apologize to each other.

2. Strategic World Order initiative:

1. Both decide to jointly fight terrorism and extremism with iron fist irrespective of their place of origin.
2. Both decide that Asia is their area responsibility and take strategic initiatives to nullify the effect of the west in Asia.
3. Both secretly agree to support regimes in gulf and africa openly and secretly(covert support) that are more friendly to Asian nations rather than US and EU due to oil and stategic location.
4. Africa should posses military bases of both counties jointly as a strategic step towards future.
5. Co-operation in military technologies and space technologies.
6. Both agree to not to allow their land for activities against each other.
7. Joint space network(civil & military) and possibly a space station developed, launched and operated jointly.

So guys what do you all think about this concept.......i think its difficult but not impossible as world scenario changes......i would hate to see india in the future having a relation like of UK( a pet) with the US. Criticism is graciously welcomed:bounce:

After reading this, I am getting to know why it is impossible for any country to get along with India, and how unfortunate it is for countries around India to have such an annoying neighbor like India.

I think you didnt bother to read after the first few lines. The OP made a few good propositions. What irks you? Is it the prospect of india cooperatng with china as equals? Or maybe the idea of peace as a whole.

My advice would be, read the whole post before you start writing a response.

If its tibetan refugees, we have an issue here in india. We dont want to naturalize them. They are not our people. They identify themselves as tibetans. Democratic institutions in india does not allow us to abandon them either.

I hope you understand.

A lot of the issues are intertwined between China, India and Pakistan. I personally cannot see things working out smoothly between just China and India. Pakistan is very much a part of it. Some form of three party talks and agreements needs to be put in place. I am all for the stability of Asia. China, India, Pakistan and Russia together will make good positive impact to this world. I am sick of turning on the tv to see western imperialists at work every day.

I agree but my only concern is the Pakistani issue.....I mean they make it a point to drag the problems between Indian and China....Doesn't China want to look out for its interests first and foremost? I mean you really cannot expect to hang on, remember even after the 1971 war, India had 90,000 Pakistani Soldiers and all of kashmir. But it decided to leave the boundary as such. We should all just move forward and levee the borders where they are......Otherwise we are all asking for a lot of trouble...

Personally I would refrain from pointing fingers. Be it issues with China, India or Pakistan. If there are issues at hand, then there are problems to be solved. I don't want to see anyone being singled out since we are all in it together. By stating that Pakistan is the main concern and how (in your opinion) they drag the problems between China and India contributes nothing to addressing the ongoing issues. All relevent parties needs to talk together and draw up some kind of mutually agreed plan and then put words and writings into action. I agree with you that the borders should be stabilized first before moving into other things. It has been going on for far too long.

According to panchsheel agreement between India and China, no populated land will be swapped. This is the basis for talks between us.
As far as claiming aksai chin is considered, China never claimed it as their own.
And Primarily Tibet never belonged to China in first case. Neither during any dynasty that ruled nor acc. to religion. If China supports pak's claim on kashmir based on religion, then they will have to give up Tibet first. ( Hans or no way related to Buddhists)
They have to practice those things which they want others to follow first.
btw, this thread is bullshit.

.
Aksai Chin (literally means China's white stone land) is your name for the land of Xinjiang. We don't care what you called it...
Tibet is one of China's home affair and it is none of your bunsiness. BTW your understanding about China's history and Buddhists is silly.
As long as India does not draw an agreement with Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, the current balance should not to be broken against Pakistan's will.

.
Tibet is indias bussiness so long as tibetan refugees and its government in exile are operational in india. We do not naturalise them.

.
Okey you feed them so they wait for a right time to bite on their home country? Sweet as you may dream...

China want peace so China will not fight a war for your little puppets or bomb Darlamsala but what is going on north of Himalaya has nothing to do with india. Please don't put your nose across the Mountain or you may not be able to get it back.

We cannot deny them their right to exist. India does not recognize tibet as an independant entity. However, we are morally obliged to give them sustenence.

.
No one is denying their right to exist. But existing is different from overthrowing a country or hostile actions.

If india want a treaty this mess gotta be cleared. Unless you guys want a tit-for-tat, say "a government in exile" against India for example. Maybe China will feel like to have moral obligation to help them too.
