Ok, tell me, is it just me or is there anyone else out there also who finds 9 out of 10 movies (of bollywood) to be rip-offs of Hollywood movies, either from story-line point of view or several scenes point of view? Some movies seem to be complete copy, from A to Z with even the dialogues ripped-off and merely translated into Hindi.

Seriously, is it just me?

I always assumed it was a common complaint against Bollywood. In general it's pretty much a garbage movie industry, though there are good movies you can find. And with the internet it makes it much easier to spot the few good ones.

The industry is getting better. My rule is if the movie has no song or dance routine and stars irrfan khan or a few others i will give it a go.Can an never take a movie seriously if it breaks into song and dance

Lagaan, Mother India (both oscar nominated) and lots of other great movies had songs and dances. Nothing wrong with that. It's the script that matters. Irrfan Khan movies too usually have songs. Bollywood music and dancing is an industry in itself and has great influence abroad. In fact outside the sub-continent people are more interested in our songs and dances than our movies.

Well yes mainstream Bollywood movie producers make sh*t movies and people are crazy just for stars not for the story. They just care about making money, not good quality movies, so they rather rely on quick solution that is to copy. There are other fine movies which rarely make an impact in terms of popularity but are 1000 times better.

There is nothing genuine in Bollywood even many actress not ethnic Indians in past and present too and now they are importing actresses from abroad. A common Indian don't look like a Bollywood actor they are generally short and dark but they are promoting India as Caucasian race which actually largely Dravidian.
Really like the way you think.
So Indians and Hindus are "generally " short and dark. Apparently everyone in Pakistan believes that, be it a doctor or an army man. Its like a general course of regional knowledge that every Pakistani must go through in their life time.

Truth is bitter and read my post again i said largely which means small number of Hindu Indians are not short, dark but yes majority belongs to Dravidian race.

There is a thread on this topic, use it:

BTW, i liked the last Indian movie i watched...PK was quite good, though i don't get why it was banned in India. It pretty much mocked all the religions, more like the non-religious practices we have attached with our religion and tend to mistake them for being a part of religion. Movie gives a great message.

You are falling for a trap. It's a poor perception you will make of Pakistani population on PDF, while the reality is far from this stupidity. Pakistan is one of the least racist nations you will find, it's the reason why we are known to be such hospitable people.
