Is the Navy Planning on procuring replacements for P3-Cs?

read the below posts... why you are buhh hurt.. none of Indians bring IN into the thread... either you are blind or pretend to be.... you are the troll in this thread... talking crap
So why are you in This thread then?
Ofc If you see your countrymen you will know, but you're too blind and biased.

No wonder you've got 14 negative ratings, without single positive so far

why don't you apply same logic on both sides.. yes there are big number of mig 21s etc.. and a decent number of Mig 29 smt.. m2k.. su 30 mki... meanwhile on Pakistan side 50 jf 17 and f 16.. so you think Pakistan will send all of its jets ??? can PAF afford diversification of its inventory for PN???

Oo so its not Pakistan that has 3,287,590 km squares of airspace to watch over? I am being neutral here if you had read my posts. Today's warfare fronts concept is generations different that of WW2 my friend.

A nation does not defend its entire airspace, but the borders of it airspace.

Enemy jets can not suddenly appear in middle of your nation's airspace, without crossing your borders.

And India - Pakistan air border is the same for both countries.

An Air Force DOES defend the entire airspace of his nation starting with his ADIZ. I don't think there's any country that puts air bases only to his borders and areas close to it.

In times of war military is still responsible to maintain force readiness all around the country in purpose of defending the country as how it was used to be during peacetime. That's what forumers refuse to understand. You can't mass all your forces, but you can reinforce certain locations; build ups. In that aspect, smaller your AO the more units you can allocate, simple as that.

For the time being the PN is augmenting the P-3Cs with ATR-72 MPAs. It probably won't replace the P-3Cs for at least 15 or so years, but around that time I hope the PN has enough in the way of resources to develop something in-house. I'd like to see Pakistan work with Airbus on an MPA version of the A-320, but with PN's selection of subsystems.

they don't have long legs to reach or attack 3,287,590km ok.... just think in this way, will PAF allow to diversify it's inventory ??? even if they do... how PAF going to face IAF... only 50 JF 17 exists in PAF as of now... maritime role is different from other roles... IN alone has 45 mig 29k's, more air crafts going to be inducted soon... blockade will hurt more than attacking their ports...

well i get negative ratings for a reason... i don't need to please anyone to get positive ratings... i been opposite to my countrymen itself... it's your fellow members who dragged IN into the thread... stop ranting.....

They are bloody expensive pieces of equipment so very unlikely.

Apart from the chinese equipment, they're still cheaper than the most western system including the P-8
Anyway, even if we had the money, Japan would not be very reluctant because of our close ties with China. But still doesn't hurt to try

Indian western coast is always monitored by PN. Any time any type of vessel leave Indian coast is immediately identified by saved signatures or by any other mean. So guys don't worry about naval defence. Now India can never have surprise visit to us. Remember guys, if blockading Pakistan become so easy as these !diots r stating, a India would never waited a second to exploit it. We r safe because we are watching, and ready to punch any aggressor and yes we have a strong punch!!
Oh really? What mechanism does your navy have to do monitor such activates off the coast of India hundreds (if not thousands) of KMs away from your own coast?

Is the PN somehow plugged into India's coastal surveillance network?

Yes, the PN does its best but don't talk such nonsense.

Japan will not sell such equipment to you, the P-1 isn't much cheaper to procure than the P-8 but would likely be FAR more expensive to operate and unless the Japanese are willing to sell the P-1 with a soft loan how do you propose the PN procures such a top-end piece of hardware?
