Pakistani land is sure part of south Asia but cant say the same about the people of the land as most claim to be turks,greeks,iranian.arabs,central asian etc ec.

As for Pakistani people's ethnicities. There are many people in Punjab province of Pakistan who are proud of their Arab ancestry (especially Syyeds and Qureshis). Many Baloch claim to also have Arab ancestry.

Punjabis don't have arab ancestory. Punjabis are not genetically related to arabs at all. arab genes can only be found in Sindh and Balochistan at very low levels... no arab genes in Punjab. we have nothing to do with arabs besides sharing same religious beliefs.

Syyeds claim to be the descendents of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and they are very proud of being Syyed and their Arab blood. Qureshis also claim Arab descent.

Have you ever talked to a Syyed Pakistani. He will tell you by race he is Arab but by nationality he is Pakistani.

There has been lot of cultural interaction with Arabs for thousands of years in south and south West India. Syrian Christians and Islam came to the Indian subcontinent to the coastal Kerala and Karnataka first.

But no one is ashamed of it neither does one brag about it. Its just part of the local culture.

And more importantly, according to Islam, an Arab has not importance over a non-Arab or vice versa except in terms of piety or who does more good deed. So just claiming superiority just because of being an Arab descendant is unIslamic.
