Is PAF ranked top among all Muslim Countries Airforces Now?

Whether you talk quality of quantity of equipment, we're not in the top three. TuAF, RSAF, UAEAF probably rank best in terms of quality, I'm not sure about quantity.

When you talk of training, quality of organization, combat experience etc. , well, you can't rank these. But we're definitely up there near the top in these departments.

That said, TuAF is still probably the most capable overall in the "Islamic World". Their equipment, organization, exercises, industrial support etc. make them foprmidable, and even their Combat experience is more recent. In fact, the TuAF could be ranked very highly internationally as well.

But let's not lose heart. We could be just as good with their kind of resources.

I think you are a sucker!

Have you ever read the history of the PAF.
PAF is one of the best in the world in terms of skill, training and combat experience.:pakistan:
The IAF(Indian) and IAF(Isreali) don't even come close.8-)

Just take this.
The RSAF(Saudi airforce) took video footage from eurofighter to put in their patriotic song because they had no video footage of there Airforce.o_O

You realize this is a 6yr old thread?

Is PAF ranked top among all Muslim Countries Airforces Now while taking all things into consideration?

This is question for assesment of PAF comparing Muslim airforces in the world in 2009?

hope for positive assertion

In Training, Experince and past air conflicts; Pakistan is the best.

Being off topic, but unfortunately there is no kudos in being the top airforce in the Muslim world. If us Pakistanis want to be the best in the world in everything or in any given field than we need to stop comparing ourselves with other Muslims or with indians. We need to ultimately compare ourselves with western nations. We have to work towards that. Until Pakistan can indigenously produce western level military equipment, we will never be free.

Agreed.

We did engage Soviet occupied Afghan air force in past but don’t expect it to happen again. Hopefully PAF is never going to fight another Muslim country, thus feeling proud that we are the best among Muslim nations; even if it were factually correct though IMO Turkey has more potent Airforce; is no cause for celebrations.

Our perceived adversary is IAF. Additionally, since our pilots have in the past engaged Israeli pilots; Israeli Airforce could possibly be included among the potential enemies. If we must; we should compare PAF with Indian & Israeli air forces rather than feeling good about being best among the brother Muslim countries.

The real question should be are Pakistani awam better than others countries awam ?

The answer to this question is evident to everyone.

And we don't do anything to correct the situation....

Sorry for the off topic

IMO No , the strongest Air-Force among the Muslim countries is Turkey followed by Saudi Arabia & the U.A.E
after them , i think its either Egypt or Pakistan

Regards

As every investment brochure states, the past performance is no guarantee of future performance. Such claims needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Egypt (Grade A)
Core : F16 : 200-240 +
New Gen : Few units of Rafale and Mirage 2000
Lack AWAC

Turkey: (Grade A)
Core : F16 : 236 Units running on Turkish Software in plane
New Gen : Unknown
AWACS: 3

Saudi Arabia (A+)
Core F-15SE : 150 (New generation Strike Eagles)
Core F-15: 88

New Gen: 72 Typhoons (Euro Fighter with option of another 72 on card)
AWACS: 5

Pakistan (B+) with out Nuclear arms consideration , Nuclear Arms Factor (A+)
Core : F16 : 78 Jets some still requiring Block C/D upgrades, Nuclear carrying capable
New Gen : 63 JF17 Thunders , adding new avionics , radar and engine , Nuclear carrying capable
Huge Inventory of Support Crafts (300 planes that can carry air to air missiles)

Future: Sukhoi-35, Gripen NG or Chinese Stealth Jets
AWACS : 8

Ranking On Technology & Planes :
1. Saudia has the most modern fleet
2. Turkey has the most "secure" fleet due to its own Turkish software
3. Egypt is moving towards advance modernization , lacking AWACs and early warning
4. When Block 2, Block 3 will be in great numbers Pakistan can move up

On Overall Airforce when you consider all aspects:
1. Pakistan , carrying nukes on F16 and JF17 Thunders no joking matter, plus awacs & support
2. Turkey does makes its own F16 and hack proof software, has awacs
3. Saudia packs a strong punch but lacks nuclear weapons
4 . Egypt is trying desperately to get more newer planes lacks good range missiles

Pakistan really have to wake up from the F16 dream and speed up the production of JF17 thunder Block 2 and Block 3 because clearly the middle eastern airforces are moving ahead in term of technology

Turk F-16s do have also their own radars modernized. The AWACS number is 4 not 3. Next generation procurement isn't unknown. 100 F-35A, 16 F-35B and 250 TF-X. You have not concluded the armament inventory and which of them is producing how much of its missiles on its own or developing them. How about air mobility? A lot of other factors also is there, does these air force's have any CAOCs? Logistical reach and capacity, maintainance, overhaul, CSAR, airlift range, Interoperability and standardization issues? As a result, no body writing on internet is expert at all air forces that can rank up nor categorize air forces :)

The Experience and new jets included in PAF namely jf17 and surplus f16 makes it half to turkish total f16s However if overall with nearly half and exp i say PAF
