We have to make do with what we have. We use the most advanced variants put into service with domestic changes. Several requests have been made but all have been turned down principly due to the Egyptian Armed Forces decision not to sign CISMOA.

yeah that's true. One of our generals once had commanded the entire NATO Air Forces (AIRCOM) including the AWACS, NSAC squadrons. But now he's probably in jail.

Also I think Turkey has more experience in war then us, or any Muslim nation If I am not mistaken, Turkey is the only Muslim country that actively took part in world war 2? I don't think we have seen full fledge war with modern weapons of that scale since then.




I am not talking about those Muslim countries which got colonized, and they were used as foot soldiers to fight for Europeans in world war 2.

You cant do tht without US permission etc... it is illegal ... i remember USA n others making alot of noise when we tested some missile ... according to them a "modified Harpoon" ... later we had to clarify them tht it was our own indigenous missile...

Turkey was neutral in WWII,untill the end(1945).
In 1945 when the war was allmost over,we declared war on Hitler(under pressure).

Yeah, agreed. But my problem is, why muslim world? It's so funny to see such lists, and it makes the situation funnier when I see that the same people whom talk about "brotherhood", are claiming their own superiority at such threads. I once saw a "top muslim navies" thread. Have we ever seen a "Top Orthodox&Catholic Militaries" thread or what? What will happen if we have the so-called "most powerful muslim...bla...bla...bla" but if we can't have a saying over US&EU.

Training & Professionalism wise its the best. Other Muslims countries may have very advanced aircraft s & weapons, but professionally they lack compared to PAF, which is the reason that PAF pilots train & are deputed in many of the other Muslim countries AFs.

Past record of PAF is a testament to it.

Nothing is changed if you look at past. In the past our adversaries had the latest equipment, but still with older less advanced jets we performed well. Our pilots downed the Israeli jets with the same jets which the Arabs were flying. If you take as true what Alan Warnes just said recently, the PAF guys with their 80s era F-16s had an upper hand on the Saudi Typhoons. A 3rd gen aircraft of 80s vintage avionics beating a 4.5 gen aircraft, speaks about the training and professionalism.

And in my post also i am talking about the training and professionalism, we do lack in latest equipment, sometimes man behind the machine wins and sometimes the machines based on its equipment will win.

So i am not speaking with any syndrome. I accept the fact that we lack in technology, but our training and professionalism standards are the best, that is why we survived in last wars, but may be that will not be enough in the future of how technology is evolving. Thus training and professionalism is not enough for future, we need good advanced equipment or else the training only may not save us.
