What's new

Is Kashmir a part of India ?

and one more thing i want to say here. that every pakistani muslim, lead by zaid hamid thinks that they are superior to the bhartis because they ruled them over 1000 years(what a bullshit)i told here so many times that there is no other religion in india except hindus all the muslims of pakistan are the converted muslim or you can say coward people who accept to become muslim rather then die from the hands of mughals. aurangzeb is example of that.what kind of bravery you guys showing us here? and pure aryan change your name from pure aryan to converted aryan that suits you most.

and one more thing i never understand the stand of pakistan on kashmir. you guys want kashmir to be a indipendent nation or as a pakistani state.if you want it as a pakistani state on what basis you want it?? now dont give me any bulshit like religion or race..

Some Kashmiris, perhaps many, might prefer to be neither part of Pakistan nor part of India. None of us can know for sure but instead offer "gut opinions" which in some cases are religiously driven. India in the main is one of the true democracies in the world today which contributes heavily to India's economic power and business success both at home and abroad. Pakistan has perfectly good brain power among it's young people, and older generations, too, for that matter. However Pakistan lacks the political freedom of a basic democracy and still has vestages of the ruling military eliteism witness recent comments by Musharraf about another wished for by him military take over to again more openly join forces with the Taliban. The Taliban are a flatly terrorist heretics to Islam series of 5 or more groupings which advocate continued suppression of women; violence, mayhem and murder using the "excuse of religion" when moderate Islam does not advocate such extremes nor such violence.

Just a few thoughts from a former US official who lived and worked in then West Pakistan 1963-65 and since saw the economy of Pakistan both as a US International Banker and as a reserve officer at the joint chiefs of staff-staff level.

Aurangze was one of the cruelest guy ever born on earth. he should have burned alive.

Why do you think Aurangzeb was a cruel man? Is it because he had to fight and win over three of his brothers? Or is it because he kept his father alive, but in captive for a long nine years in a Royal Palace?

You want to burn him alive, but he could have been treated in that way if he would have been defeated by one of his rival siblings. A war is always a die or kill matter. Indians (read Hindus) categorically dislike Aurangzeb for unknown reasons.

One known reason is his imposition of Jijiya tax on non-muslims. But, Jijiya is a kind of tax that exempts non-Muslims to join wars against an enemy entity, and thus save their lives. Hindus of Aurangzeb time must have blessed him for finding a way to exempt them from being unnecessarilly killed in a battle. Why do you have to curse him instead of praising.

NO. That was his family business.

It would have been great if Dara Shukoh could have defeated this bigot and sent him into the trash bins of History. Unfortunately it was not to be.

And dont give this shyt about 'unknown reasons'. You very well know what the 'unknown reasons' are.

Who was he to decide who should be exempted from fighting wars or who should be paying taxes for being 'infidels' ? Please dont stretch this insane argument.

And why do you guys hate the Marathas ? Is it not unjust on them, very benevolent rulers ?

And the reason you asked for - Link 1 , Link 2 , Link 3 , Link 4

And I am obliged to provide you more, if necessary.

First define the physical boundaries of kashmir.
1.Is it whole state of pre independence Jammu and kashmir...then answer is NO.
2.Is it Azad kashmir?...then again answer is no.
3.Is it COK....then again answer is no.
4.Is it sate of J&K in india then ......its disputed.
5.Or is it Just 60*40 kashmir valley?????....which is in flames.

So in any case its status is hanging in balance between 3 countries and 4th country is influencing it for independence.
J&K can be looked upon as colonial era india divided between 3 European powers holding respective territories of indian landmass

You should change your flag. Even Arundhati (Justifier of Terrorism) Roy is not that biased.

As far as this thread and reality are concerned, Kashmir is a part of India as much as Rajasthan or Gujarat are. Just because Pakistan does not think so does not change the reality.

This is exactly why a plebiscite is needed, to know what the Kashmirs want, give them the promised "right to self determination".I know, many of my Indians friends would argue here that the a plebiscite is not possible in the current geographic realities,( some of Kashmir is under China's control)but nothing could be further from the truth. If the Berlin Wall could be brought down, if the US and Japan can build cordial relations after the WWII, then a solution to Kashmir could also be reached. No matter how long it takes,10 or 100 years but we can make a start by accepting that Kashmir is a dispute, and not anyone's integral part, as recognized by the UN.India, by refusing to accept Kashmir as a disputed territory, puts a stop to any kind of negotiations. Its not just about the land, its about the millions of Kashmirs, who have been suffering for generations now.All we have to do is agree that Kashmir is a dispute and the people of Kashmir should be given a chance to carve their own future, as promised to them under the UN charter. It does not matter how long it would take to reach upon a verdict, which would be acceptable to all the three parties, but at least we would be moving in the right direction.

We, Pakistanis, the majority of us,would not have a problem if the Kashmirs want to be independent or join India.

@ American Eagle

Sir, with all due respect, we Pakistanis have no fascination with the Taliban. It was the CIA who set us on a blind date, and we have been cursing ourselves since then. They were just a strategic asset, ours as much as yours ,only difference is, you had the luxury to abandon them because you do not share a border with Afghanistan.

As, you were in Pakistan in the 60's, I am sure you would agree that Pakistan was set to be a major power in Asia, we were very progressive until the Mujaheddin venom was injected into us.I can show you a video of Pakistan in the 60's, and you can spot Western women freely roaming round in bikinis on our beaches. We never fancied the Talibans sir,it was something you brewed up,and we were foolish enough to try it.

Also, I would kindly request you to name one military regime in Pakistan, which did not have the US's backing.

I hope you take everything in good taste, just having a heart to heart conversation with you.We hope to learn from your invaluable knowledge and experience.

Dude that is utter nonsense once again based on the false premise that " Hindus are weak and cowardly " .

Hindus are quite capable of defending their lives and property..."unnecessarily killed in battle ",- indeed

Two of Auranzeb's most prolific generals were Hindu Rajputs , One of which Raja Man singh was sent to deal with the Chatrapati ( Shivaji ) himself after his regular muslim representative Afzal Khan was outwitted , out strategized and finally killed in the course of his own devious ploy.

and it was the Jizya which was responsible for forcing the mass conversion of millions of poor Hindus during his reign , for all the talk of religious conversion being peaceful.Babur, Auranzeb and Feroze Shah Tughluk were three rulers in the subcontinent well known for using the derogatory word " infidel " to describe their Hindu subjects.

Actually I admire that guy's gall in supporting that religious bigot who endlessly persecuted Hindus,Sikhs and other minorities and say that he must be respected for his social work in imposing Jaziya.

Wasn't it because of Aurganzeb that a majority of people in Kashmir are Muslim? And did he not kill a Sikh guru because he tried to help the Hindus there?
