MQM's popularity in large areas of Karachi is a fact that can not be overlooked. I support peace in Karachi but there can be no peace as long as political parties, gangs, mafias and other criminals seek to rule it.
I personally don't care who is in power, as long as they don't make Karachiites into their subjects. Altaf Hussain's recent statements are something that MQM, as a Pakistani party, should separate themselves from. There are capable and skilled people in that party and they should not be forced to go under just because of what their party leader said.

PTI's stance on uniting Pakistanis is a nice change from the usual provincial stuff we see, but Wadwa's words are too harsh imo. Karachi is being handed over to someone? Who is that big?

That's an insult to all Urdu speakers like me who live in the West.
Don' get carried away. Just ask yourself: Is there any hope left for Karachi people so long as Altaf Hussein calls the shot? The answer should be obvious.

And so I would welcome Imran Khan/PTI to be given the 'charge' of Karachi for a few years till then clean up the 'Gund' from Karachi.

The best thing Nawaz Sharif can do for Karachi is to appoint Imran Khan the Governor of Sindh.
