I can see why you are suspicious but I assure you after the collapse of the North Korea military during period between the battle at the Pusan perimeter and the inchon landing, it was China who surprised and defeated the US lead UN force.

No matter what the "Eternal President" or the "Great leader" tells you, it was Chinese generals and Chinese blood that pushed the UN back to the 38th parallel.

Exactly right.

If I remember correctly, it was the longest retreat in the history of the US army.

I bet Kim Jong-Il is taking credit for that with his own people though...

We've reached consensus on the original topic, I think it is important to clear up the misconceptions that remain.

Been reading, so the Chinese pushed the Americans back to where it started.

Guess thats why its called the forgotten war here.

Armistice, doesn't mean S and N Korea ended the war. They are still at war technically.

IMO we require more cooperation between Asian Countries to ensure speedy progress and empowerment...

Just imagine a bloc

Russia + China + India + Japan + Pakistan --- day dreamer :partay:

Yeah it's all about Asia.

I wonder what the name would be... Asian Alliance, Asian Union, etc.

China would have never expended the blood of veteran soldiers for the sake of Korean expansionism. MacArthur who lead the UN wanted to pushed beyond the 38th parallel, and headed towards China's border with Korea.

THAT is why Mao sent the People'e Volunteer army to fight in Korea, and that is why he agreed to send his son to fight in Korea...

MacArthur i heard was planning to nuke parts of China also.

never going to happen.

Not very optimistic are you?

Anyway the SCO is already comprised of members and observers that together take up an enormous percentage of the Asian continent.

That was when he started losing the battle. He was looking for a way out. He was never a great battlefield commander despite the excellent public relations he had.

He got to the rank he did because of his mother in Washington and his own ability to inflate his ego.
