Everything about it is different from u guys. If u guys try to talk like urdu speakers as in pakistnis it doesnt mean hindi urdu ban jaey gee.
U guys make so many mistakes when u speak urdu.
Like some of u say ajj ghaas(grass ) nahi kata...it shud be kati,..similarly many such examples.

Secondly, urdu is very inspired by persian and arabic ....
Like if i have to say dravadinhero ko ban kardo in urdu iwill say:

Dravadianero pay pabandi laga do

In hindi u will say.

Dravadianhero ko prathiband kardo....

Kitna ziada diff hai....yeh tau kaheen say nahi milta uffff yeh tau zameen aur aasman jaisa difference hai. So diff so diff

And if in urdu we want to say he violated forum rules so we will say in urdu:

Us nay forum kay asoolon ko tora

In hindi:

Us nay forum kay sanskaron ka virodh kiya.

U know a lot of Hindi.......Star Plus i guess....

Thanks for that. I understand Urdu has more Perso-Arabic which is consuquent to Islam being a vehicle of cultural and linguistic infusion. But how much is the differance and is Urdu diverging more?

The general trend is - Urdu > Perso-Arabic and Hindi > Sanskrit.

Above mentioned are urdu words not hindi. Yes urdu is influenced by turkisk and persian.

But which of them is closer ? I always thought Persian was closer but was surprised to see this list of commonality from Turkic. May be Persian and Turkic are very closely related too.

Around Persians they will show off around how close their culture is. Around Isreali/Jews they will starting distancing themselves from any Muslim heritage they have got and at home they will declare war against Muslims. Suddenly Muslim and anything Muslim is evil. Yet aspects of that culture will be used by them to show off like the example of Hindi which is direct result of Muslim rule that they so much resent.

Another example is they will kill meat eaters but then talk like they are the biggest meat eaters on earth. Suddenly vegetarianism and hinduism become divorced concepts.

see for persians and arabs there language is better ,for pakistanis ours is better.
There are many many similarities in urdu and persian and arabic ,yet all the three language speakers unless fluent in each others tongue cannot understand what the other speaker is saying. So its like strange similarities are great , root words are taken from arabic yet each language stands apart. But dont think that the uniquness of any of them is lost. NO NO. Urdu is one of the most rich,cultured languages of the world.

Bahi one of my aunts used to force me to watch when ivisited her place lolzzzotherwise no and ab tau bilkul nahi. Our pakistani dramas have become somewhat indianized thats y istopped watching them too.

Hindi (not Hindustani) language is simplified Sanskrit. When urdu was developed in India, it adopted persian/arabic words with most of structure and words from hindi. Urdu is one of the many great languages of India

The acting like a turk around turks and similarly around jews etc etc examples that u gave totally reminded of an argument i got into with indians here.
Some guy here was claiming to be a secularist but his signature carried a vedic verse ..so iasked , if u are secular then why the signature....then he started shouting u are calling me hypocrite , i honestly never did, but i had asked him that out of curioity....so so he said i follow hindu culture but not religion, iwas like .... how they are seperated from each other..... then there jumped in another indian who came to his buddy's assistance and said, 'well its just like jews, u know jews who dont follow judaism but follow jewish culture'.

Well atanz living in europe u must be familiar with the term 'Cultural Jews' . Hopefully. Now the thing is cultural jews still call themselves 'Jews' but they say we dont follow the religion, now its fine if you are a secular who follows hindu culture .. but then how your example matches with that of Cultural jews?

So either u call urself a secular or a cultural Hindu.

And as of last para from ur post....well these ppl had flooded this site with abdul kalam's avatars on his death and then few days later they opened a shameless thread that muslim pop in india is growing at faster rate than hindus....how to do something abt it, that thread was littered with the ugliest and nastiest mentality u cud have witnessed. Some senior reported it and it got deleted by admins.

Anyways, lets leave this discussion here if we will go deeper then it will ruffle some feathers.
