I saw a guy once and he does the following actions:

• He bears witness that there is no god but allah and that muhammad is his messenger.
• He prays 5 times a day.
• He pays his zekat.
• He performs the hajj.
• He fasts in ramadan.

The same guy believes in the following:

• He believes in allah.
• He believes in the angels.
• He believes in the books sent down by allah.
• He believes in allah's prophets.
• He believes in the last day.
• He believes in destiny.

Is this guy a religious extremist?

Indeed. Most Hindus believe that there is one and only one God (the Brahmin or the Param Ishwar ie the Absolute God). The war between religions does not rest on the question of whether there is one God. It rests on the question of what name should be attributed to the one God, what manner of prayer is acceptable to the one God and who exactly is the last of his prophets. In response to the topic on hand, if any follower of the different names of this one God is too pious or proudly speaks about his or her religion, they become viewed as extremists. In a nutshell, it gets more and more stupid each day as we evolve technologically. Heaven help us in a few hundred years time

i think people here are misunderstanding the question and confusing religious terrorists with the religious extremists, which i think is meant here.

On topic, if he blindly accepts them just because he is supposed to, without questioning them, yes he is...a religious extremist.
