Is Gujarat's red hot economy a myth?

.
It doesn't even matter what I say about Modi, my flag alone will negate anything I say on the topic.

If I say I hate him, pro-Modi Indians will say: "Oh if a Chinese hates him, he must be so good that he scares even the Chinese".

If I say I like him, anti-Modi Indians will say: "Modi is a friend of China therefore an enemy of India" (as another Indian poster already said on this thread).

So what I say doesn't make a blind bit of difference anyway. I'm just making comments based solely on the economic model, which I think is a good one.

The fact of the matter is that Indian Minority members do hate Modi for obvious reasons. They are NOT anti Indian. Most of them however do praise Modi in private for what he is done in Gujarat and for the state of Muslims now in Gujarat. And any Pakistani poster will not like you for praising Modi be it for economic development or for any other reason

What obvious reasons?

He has not been convicted of anything right?

Is there even a shred of proof that he has done anything illegal?

Well, some people mistake accusations for being convicted . Dont want to get into that. Will open a Pandora's box

No, I am shocked at how Indians themselves are killing their only chance at an economic revival.

Look at the stats here

You have no good intentions about India and unforunate some Indians can't see that.

By your logic, Karunanidhi or Jayalalitha should be PM because TN average growth rate is higher than Gujarat. Apply the same to the other 4 states who have had higher growth rate.

Even with the current govt. and global economic crisis, India growth rate was higher than China in 2010 at 10.4% according to IMF.

IF Indians want Modi to be PM or not, it will be the decision of the Indian public. You just revel in the fact that you have no choice in choosing your leader and if you try to choose your leader, you will killed like those CHinese in 1989 protests or the 30 million under Mao.

good spin when national average data consists of backward states - why not compare with other states in question say tamil nadu or kerala?

Get admission in some refresher course of statistics..............LOL

Indian Muslims are concentrated in UP,Bihar and Bengal, three most backward states.

Comparing average literacy rate of Muslims with that of National average would paint a bleaker picture that what is it in reality.

To get a proper idea, one should compare it with Backward states, not national average or Tamil Nadu.

.
If I remember correctly it was quite high then as well.

You're from West Bengal right?

You dislike Modi, but do you think Mamata is better? :cheesy:
are you indian or chinese intelligence? how do you know about state level politics. hmmmmm.....

Anyone who reads the articles posted here on this forum would know that.

Though you can assume I am some sort of intelligence agent if you want, the Indians here usually respond to any uncomfortable argument with that accusation anyway.

the topic of the thread is not muslims literacy rate & if am not wrong no backward state is claiming to have a shining economy blah & all that

as you have bought the topic of literacy rate i see gujrath wants to score a brownie comparing the statistics to backward state but does not stand a chance while on comparision with moderately developed state such as tamil nadu.

so what is your point here actually ? are you claiming gujrath does better compared to backward states such as up, bihar but does not do well with comparison to tamilnadu? looks like we both are in agreement about gujrath story being a myth.

Our system is relatively more centralized, but I'm sure that you must have heard of some of our regional politicians like Bo Xilai etc.

Learning to speak Chinese is not difficult. Mandarin is easier to learn than Cantonese, because there are fewer tones.

I have seen foreigners who can speak Chinese quite well.

However, learning to read/write is more difficult. There is no alphabet in Chinese, we write using characters, which can be confusing for outsiders.
