I personally dont think AMCA would be a delayed project as the ecosystem in the country towards aerospace and aeronautics has changed drastically and HAL would not be put to manufacturing the entire thing. Indian pvt companies are matured enough to take up manufacturing fuselage or at least part of it.

Startups are doing wonders in the field of optoelectronics and radar.

J-15 is underpower, and could only take off with A2A configuration only. Problem with chinese is when they make fool to the Russian by using Russian AL-31 Engine intended for the License production of Su 30MK used it for J-15, and J-11, whose blue prints and unfinished airframe and IPRs they it acquire from Ukraine are various CAR nations. Russia have condemened for the IP theft and IP voilation. Thus China needs AL-41 Engine or equivalent powered, so either Chinese have to pay for the redemtion, or forget its YF-15 and other antiship mission with these J-15 till an equivalent powered engine could be developed.
