Is a Secular Pakistan the solution?

So you think Pakistan is right as it is? Where people kill each other in name of religion?? Where religion is such a sensitive issues that people kill each other in the name of religion??? Where there are extremist apologists, and extremists have a say in this country??

I don't want Pakistan to become like West bro, I just want a secular Pakistan where state should be free for religious involvment, a peaceful prosperous, Tolerant Pakistan like some other Muslim Majority secular countries like Malaysia,Turky etc.

Pakistan cant be tolerant until the people become tolerant. Our religion is not extremist, people are.Islam is not strict our people have made walls for themselves. So we need to fix the people in order to fix the country. Fixing the country wont benefit us until we have the same set of people and mentalities. Despite me being of a religious mindset I do understand that there are some benefits in secularism but it is completely non practical for Muslims. The evils in secularism outweigh the benfits for me and even if pakistan becomes secular it is not the solution for its people. People who mostly dont even understand religion correctly while practicing it for over a century or more shifting to a entirely new concept will be a complete disaster. As for being a practicing muslim seclarism is clearly defying Allah orders. When Allah says in the Quran to implement the religion of Allah on this land no muslim can call himself muslim and do otherwise. We definitely do not have a very strong Islamic setup in pakistan but secularism is completely the opposite way to go.

My pardada(great grandfather) was a pundit near Srinagar who converted to Islam and migrated with his peer to Mirpur leaving his family
Oh sorry to hear that. It's always very tough for the family if the man of the house deserts them. But that said, you will still be welcome.

See. That is the thing. You may think temples are enough. A Hindu may not think so. He may want one next to his house. Imagine waking up in the morning with temple bells, and sweet incense and pujaris with tikas in your neighborhood. We are used to living hearing the azan for example. But will you be okay with something like above?
Well we do wake up with church bells but temples and and tikas not so much cuz majority of hindus live in Sindh and that too in the desert district of tharparkar

Bhai...people will emigrate. Many will convert to Hinduism as well. Many who left the country will return. Expats will fund new temples and Gurdwaras. It will happen. A prosperous minority always makes its pretense felt.

Hell, even the RSS may be reestablished in Lahore, Karachi and Multan.

Haha 1947 mein to unhoan nay eid gift dia that lashoan ki bhari train ka
It started one year before that with the surprise package of Direct Action Day. But anyway, legally you can't stop any Hindu organizations unless they indulge in crimes in Pakistan. :)
And let me assure you, many and I mean many will convert to Hinduism or Buddhism. Atheism will also become popular.

Hehehe its already 2%
It will rise. People will be critical of faith. They will question blind faith as we all do. Every day. :) at least till they married ... lol.

Uhm Pakistani hindus believe that you cannot convert to hinduism its an exclusive club
That's the traditional view. Once the gates are opened, many Muslims (Now called blasphemers) will convert to other faiths... including Hinduism. The state can do nothing, unless it is forced. International Hindu magnates may even buy your media houses. The Mittals, Hinduja, Ambanis etc...

Was Pakistan made for Islam or was it made for Muslims??There's a difference between preserving Islam and preserving Muslims.

Pakistanis are more likely to convert to agnosticism/atheism than hinduism(no meat)

It was made for muslims so they could break the chains of economical and political discrimination

And perform their religious rituals with ease that hindus find objectionable(there were riots in gujranwala in 1930,s because some one hanged dead calves on the clocktower)

Hinduism does not say about being vegetarian. That's Jainism. :) As a Hindu you should just not eat the cow. Even that may be relaxed as per necessity. It evolves.

Anyway, decide what's best for you.
