Is a Secular Pakistan the solution?

So you mean that religion isn't mixed with politics in Pakistan?? :o: Blasphemy laws don't get misused?? and other stuff?

Malaysia is a secular country in nature, with an official religion Islam, its kind of an exception infact. But religion doesn't mix with politics there, in Pakistan religion gets mixed with Politics.
Mr Saad why you get so offensive you sud be accepting the facts on ground.. no one is threatning your thoughts.. we accept your point of views now i think you sud be accepting majorities point of view.

Cheap indian clowns who get cheaps kicks out of propagating lies that there are no minorities in pakistan.
Their hinduvati ideology is the killing machine having claimed over hundreds and thousands of innocent minoritiy lives. From the creation uptil now last 70 years no country has seen such worst internal riots as has india proudly gone to show.
Its best the white strip in indian flag representing non existant peace and love,be colored crimson red , the upper saffon band has done its job quite well in last 70 years in making it slimey mud color.

If the definition of SECULAR means to you a state where people from all religions have equal rights, then may be we can call it a TRUE ISLAMIC STATE!! So yes, such an ideal condition will be perfect.
If by Secular you mean a state with no particular set of rules and morals to follow, then NO that is not a solution. Look around you and you will see what the So call secular nations do with people of different faiths.

Well, I dont know mate, it was conducted by US research center. Pew research Center. There is no Iran also. But few years back Iran was included. 40 percent something Iranian do pray 5 times daily, even much less than Indonesian which is not even an Islamic republic.

I believe Madinah Chapter during prophet Muhammad time is quite close with our Pancasila (ideology)

Ya I am surprised that even Iran has been excluded. Thanks for pointing that out.

A firend of mine just visitied your country and the Phillipines. Is it true that there is a militant Islamic organization there which has the acronym MILF ? He seemed to be dead serious in his Whatsappp message.

And misuse of blasphemy laws (a total insignificant issue) lies at the heart of Pakistan's problem and hence secular Pakistan will be prosperous because blasphemy laws won't be there, correct?

See, as expected, you have no clue about anything. You are just blabbering cliche' dialogues without any practical idea about life in Pakistan.

What school did you go to?

Says someone who lives in America, while I live in Pakistan.

Yes a secular Pakistan would be a good start thats what Jinnah envisioned, if we start giving secular education to our students and stop religious intolerance Pakistan would be a lot better place to live in.

Peace.

lol..k.

In perhaps, the most significant part of his address to the Constituent Assembly Jinnah said:

“You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed, that has nothing to do with the business of the state. … We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens, and equal citizens, of one state.”

It is clear from these words that the Quaid saw Pakistan as a state in which there would be a separation between state and religion and that Pakistan would be a country in which people of all faiths are equal citizens. There was to be no distinction between a Muslim and a non-Muslim in terms of rights, privileges and responsibilities.

These are Quaid's words not mine.

Its pretty crystal clear that Quaid wanted a Secular Muslim Majority state, NOT Islamic Republic of PAKISTAN.

What Jinnah said is completely in-sync with Islam. Islam also allow every non-muslim to practice their religion the way they want. Only jahils can think Islam not allow any non-muslim to even live. And this statement don't make up Qauid wanted a secular. In-fact he clearly mention in many rallies what he wanted, you can read more about Quaid-e-azam and "Do Qoumi Nazriya".

Ps: Islamic state doesn't automatically mean, no muslim allow. Secular and Extremists both are illiterate from Islamic Ideology. Which means problem is not status but proper education.

In that case you have devised a secular definition of Islam on your own. In a true Islamic state, non-muslims can not have equal rights.

You have to use a liberal version of Islam.

Are you suggesting that there is better way of life than islam teaches us..
or are you telling us that extremist hijacked idea of Pakistan?
tell me what europe achieved being secular or state seprate from church if you like that or want it.. i am extremly sorry to say that you want that system we dont where you let your daughter sister mom can have relationship with anyone they want for short period or longer period.. where people obey law than humanity.. where you are allowed have alchol, gay marriages, nude beaches thats not our way of life.. if this secularism.
your personal choice maybe accepted but dont come here and tell us that you want all of us to follow that path.

phir hum rokain kay dil zuban or hath say burai ko..

Pakistan does today not find itself in a unique predicament. Where minorities have long since been completely marginalized. And now the fight is front and center within the Muslim fold.

Look at the entire Middle East. The vast majority of the Muslim world finds itself in similar strife.

The debate about secularism is apt for nation states where Islam remains a minority faith. Because where it does not, the debate more likely than not has long since moved on to sectarian lines towards the establishment of one form (version?) of Islam. Invariably to the detriment of the other.

there is not conservative or libral islam .. islam by itself a modren religion. in the begning i suggested that it sud stick to Pakistanies since we dealing with this system and we chose what we want..
your entry in this topic represent secularism which will hijack our discussion and later it will become Pak vs Ind..

MILF is a Moro liberation Army ( located in Philippine), not Indonesian one. But Moro people live in Mindanau island of Philippine which is close with Sulawesi island of Indonesia.

:) this is a general misconception and unlike every other Muslim, i have our own scholars to blame rather then the western media and Zionist lobby. Our people were tasked to portray the true values of our religion, it never was the responsibility of the western media.

If Pakistan become secular then it automatically become India, Islamism differentiate it with India.

Islam remains the fastest growing and matter fact only growing religion in the world... million of millions hindu accepted islam and still accepting as way of life.. there must be somthing in it.. people using agenda of secularism just wanted people to lose hope and idea.. they just dont know this topic bring us together and each time they raiz this issue remind us and gives us energy to reach to our goal to make true Islamic State
