IRIAF | News and Discussions

me think what they gave their army is the Egyptian aircrafts
but te egyptian ones are not russian standard, so i dont think so. Maybe the egyptian ones are still there and will be modified for Iran needs later, in some month, cause their own, russian, needs for their airforce have high prio in every part.

. . .
People make things up. Then deny them. Then get angry when things don’t happen. What a load of hogwash here.
The Pyramid of Donkeys

-1 Trust anonymous sources, "expert think tank" and twitter previsions
-2 Believes it straight
-3 Starts to talk between themselves, immediately makes essays about Russia backstabbing Iran
-4 Put the fault on Iran even if they are anonymous sources (not a source)

And this is the same kind of people trust that sort of things always

- Article from a random **** think tank
- "Israel is pressuring Russia to not deliver" (sourceless)
- But still the fighters, according to the anonymous source, have been ordered 4 years ago (still sourceless)

- Hasbara for Israel, making them look they have so much leverage on Russia about Iran
- Discredit Iran, making it like Iran is cucked and paid in the void

The running meme about the Su-35 is brought simply by these think tanks, twitter accounts with no credible sources and of course, people trusting and relaying them, making a pyramid of donkeys

Can you show me Russian source for this?

and were in these articles it show russia changed its stand on the matter . i could not find it

this is from irrna article
During a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian president’s special representative for the Middle East, underscored his country’s firm stance toward the Islamic Republic as a friendly country.

Various topics, including the latest state of bilateral relations between Iran and Russia, were discussed during the meeting.

So you are saying that Iran is making a fake news about it?

There was a meeting the 14 july, same names, why Russian medias would bother to talk about the content of the conversation?

You have no trust in your country and you are believing that Iran literally made a false news where it claims falsely that Russia changed stance, and you need a Russian source that covers every single part of the conversation to trust it?

.
Far from reviewing their statement, this is how the Russian news article you shared ends:

"The ownership of the islands - Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa - is a point of contention between the UAE and Iranian authorities in the strategically significant Persian Gulf region."

show us when and where and who in russia told they changed their stand on the matter?

so you're not aware about the content of the meeting only make some assumption without evidence

i believe the news is fake , until you prove its not.
and sorry that type of argument wont work on me , never ever worked before and hopefully never work in future.

and i stated many time i don't believe in medias , they are bunch of liars who work on promoting an agenda not for telling the truth.

What the Russian's said in this instance is correct. It's an issue between these two countries and this statment is basically saying that Russia has nothing to do with it. Also note the use of the term "Persian Gulf", this is significant.

This guy hates Iran, and wants the west to come "save" it with its unicorn army of she-hulks and pregnant fathers.

Sure, but he didn't "review" or reverse their previous statement (a joint statement with the PGCC with a much bigger platform, rather than a small hidden story in a random Russian paper about some meaningless comments by some deputy).

The test is if they say Persian Gulf with their PGCC friends not to some small newspaper to placate Iran after insulting our sovereignty

They did review it by implying that it's none of their business as opposed to insisting again on international law to arbitrate on the issue, which would be something the west would do. I agree a full reversal would have been better as an Iranian, but objectively Russia is trying to be diplomatic with both Iran and Arabs and that's something you have to deal with in realpolitik.

It would also look ridiculous if they did a big platform announcement with the Arabs, first of its kind in a very long time, to then rush and do another big platform announcement with Iran just for a photo op. Iran just wants concrete assurances if it means theyre made discretely and not with some bullshit big stage announcements. Let's not forget the many "joint statements" and "big platform announcements" Russia and Iran have made recently which dwarf anything Russia has done with the Arabs.

It doesn't matter, the fact is they used Persian Gulf with Iran and avoided the topic with the Arabs. They have made clear what their stance is.

Two people who have written enough on IRIAF are saying this regarding the Sukhoi saga:

- BT (First person ever to report SU-35S discussion by Bagheri in October 2021 in Moscow)

Bagheri asked for SU-35S in 2021 October
Some technicians/pilots of IRIAF received training or some level of orientation
No formal Contract has been signed yet
Demand/Need is for 68 Fighters
The initial batch will come in 2024
IRIAF's annual budget is 200-400 MlN USD (compared to ~3-4 Billion USD of IRGC)
There is a proper "Defence-Budget Mafia" in Iran that gained power under Ahmadinejad, these people dislike IRIAF

- Tom C

Iranian political system is such that even SL has to keep exclusive power groups happy
These power groups have no interest in re-buildingIRIAF, for their own reasons
IRGC has absolute control over MODAFL even though current minister Ashtiani is from Artesh
No evidence exists that IRGC will allow a 10 Billion USD purchase for IRIAF

- Facts

Vahedi said IRIAF needs SU-35S but chickened out for going in details
Underground IRIAF base posters showed SU-35S
A mockup of SU-35S was present at the site probably to measure the integration.

Make of it what you will

And why not simply the Su-35 go for IRGCAF? Wasn't the eagle base made by IRGC or IRIAF?

Because IRGC doesn’t believe in air power. Supposedly they learned their lesson in Syria when they saw what even sub par Russian pilots could do to save the militias from being cannon fodder.

Then IRGC decided they will develop a CAS plane for such types of conflicts.

Silence since then. So either IRGC mothballed the project or it’s still in development and we will hear about it in 5+ years.

The only planes IRGC ever had we Iraqi SU-25’s, but I think even those were returned to Iraq when ISIS nearly reached Baghdad. So I don’t even know if IRGC-AF has anything besides drones these days and helicopters.

Even US said if Russian achieve air superiority in Ukraine then the war would have been done in 5-10 days because no equipment could be brought in thru the borders since Russian jets would just bomb them. And Ukraine would eventually have fallen from lack of advanced equipment.

So Russia’s biggest mistake was not making a VLO 5th Gen fighter in large numbers. Now they are stuck in a war of attrition.
