TEHRAN (FNA)- Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami said IRGC commanders see the US aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf as nothing more than "rusty iron".


"IRGC members are never intimidated by the hugeness of the aircraft carriers and roaring of the missiles of the US and trans-regional enemies and these equipments are nothing more than rusty iron in their eyes," General Salami said addressing the closing ceremony of the annual gathering of IRGC Navy commanders and officials in Iran's Northeastern city of Mashhad on Tuesday.

No one is underestimating anyone. These talks are meant for the public consumption, like "US Aircraft Carriers "Rusty Iron"" or by US "we'll beat Iran in "3 days" or "3 weeks". Its just a chest beating and bravado.

Now, in reality both sides know how hard this war would be, and they are hectically preparing, especially Iran. In case you forgot, Iran was specifically preparing for war with US for the last couple of decades. They arent doing this because they are underestimating US, they are doing it because they know exactly how strong US is.
