what do you mean by lol? is this funny? are you serious about closing hormuz? you know americans.they want excuse.why you want war? do something so that irani oil can reach to other countries.why serious about fighting a war with america? i can't even count american allies.they are too much and american navy itself is a nightmare for any navy.avoid war,use diplomatic channels,time to ease tensions.

Trump cant send US military to Iran because all the military advice and information he has already received(like other US presidents) shows a US military attack on Iran will be a disaster and US wont win. So thats more of a hypothetical wish. Also, we know CHina will move to dominate SCS once US gets engaged with Iran militarily. I see what u doin

Sure, but that is under the assumption that Donald Trump is a sane individual. Right now he is threatening another trade war against the EU despite such an action making no sense at all.

Trump is a narcissist, prone to bouts of narcissistic rage. He doesn't care about US interests, only his own.

As for the South China Sea, the USA actually doesn't care that China is building multiple islands and military bases there. They never even sanctioned China $0.01 for building islands in the SCS, but they did sanction China for trading with Iran. You can see which one they actually care about.

If closing strait of hormuz = Iran physically preventing/controlling vessels from traversing the strait, I agree Iran can only do it for 24 hrs.

If closing strait of hormuz = Iran preventing safe passage via the strait by Iran creating insecurity in it, I believe Iran can do that for months.

I dont believe Iran has to control the whole strait in order to control movement in it. Also, most of the simulations for Iran controlling the strait dont factor in the Khalij fars ASBM.

Let me make a comment here that anyone can use an quote me at anytime- When military scenarios,esp. those involving US, play out, there are usually more complex and harder than what the planners estimated. facts!
