See it is easy to criticize the others but it is not easy trying to know and understand what happened and why?.

Let me tell you this and this real not fiction there is a village called albasheer all are shiite Turkman the men in that village stand against months of isis attacks it repelled all those attacks while it's population was around 1300 person see a village that small stand months and never give up never surrendered to the enemy until the PMF forces lift the siege.

while mosul have almost 2 millions of residents they have never fought the invaders because most of the invaders are locals!!!!!!.

70 percent of the army of that city where locals and kurds plus all the federal police who are armed well they were locals all these forces left their positions and went home while the shiite soldiers withdrew to line away from the city because their officers some of them were sunnis and kurds threatened them if they don't give up their weapons and leave and told them you will face martial courts if you disobey.

we have no doubt that the governor of mosul athee alnujaifi and masoud albarzani where behind that treason.

The main goal was and still is to weaken the central government in Baghdad to push it accepting the division of the country!!! something that will never happen.
