good that Ayatollah cleared it
we many hate America policy politics and military
but american people are good and nice
Ha, I really dont believe this in the slightest, the amount of arabs/north Africans ive met who actually express their hatred for Americans and other "white" people as they often put it is huge, and you certainly cant hold back even the mildest and most trivial offence of being offended without throwing a fatwa. This is nothing new to us Iranians. We've known this all our lives. Unlike the west, we can separate people from policies.

Then Death to Iran doesn't mean Death to Iranians too.
I don't understand how some Iranians still believe and follow this dumb Aytulla
We're turning into pussies. Obama and the 'Occupy' jerkoffs are but a few to blame. The P.C. crowd. College profs are indoctrinating the young into leftist, ski cap-in-the-summer, backpack wearing, swing the border open assholes.

Iran's Ayatollah: 'Death to America' doesn't mean 'Death to Americans'

Iran's supreme leader says the slogan "Death to America" is not aimed at the American people, but rather American policies.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's website says Tuesday he made the comment while meeting with Iranian students ahead of the anniversary of the takeover of the U.S. embassy in Tehran on Nov. 4, 1979. Militant students stormed the compound and took 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.
The two countries have had no diplomatic relations since then. However, current President Hassan Rouhani has made efforts to improve relations, including a landmark nuclear agreement reached with world powers this past summer.
Khamenei says the "aim of the slogan is not death to American people. The slogan means death to U.S. policies and arrogance." He says the slogan has "strong support" in Iran.
GO F^CK YOURSELF, ayatollah !!!
based on my interaction, iranians dont hate americans as such, beyond 'americans are stupid people' narrative, which even brits will be guilty of believing. Iranians are not arabs.Ha, I really dont believe this in the slightest, the amount of arabs/north Africans ive met who actually express their hatred for Americans and other "white" people as they often put it is huge, and you certainly cant hold back even the mildest and most trivial offence of being offended without throwing a fatwa.
Naaah. This is nothing new to us Iranians. We've known this all our lives. Unlike the west, we can separate people from policies.
The mullahs know that. And they know that the fact they can say such things and get away with it underscores to Iranians that their country is a tyranny under the mullahs' control. These slogans are $tupid and only belong to stone age cave man mentality.
Then I'll have to remember, the next time I'm in a public meeting deciding about bridges and road signs, or talking to my congressman, or observing a Senate committee, than what I'm experiencing is "pure fantasy".Anyone who's been to north america realizes that there's no real functioning body of governance there and that Federal government is pure fantasy , so yes "screw america" is targeted at the americans themselves.
The mullahs know that. And they know that the fact they can say such things and get away with it underscores to Iranians that their country is a tyranny under the mullahs' control.
There is something else to it, though. Since the 1970s - even before the Shah was overthrown - the mullahs had plans for national and regional domination. They were quite sure that they could swing it (I used to talk with them on the bus) and for the most part they've succeeded. So they have a confidence in their own pronouncements and deceits that makes them very dangerous.
