Iranian warship points weapon at U.S. helicopter, US official says

No they are succeeding because Iran is sending weapons and money in Yemen as well as supporting Assad with losses in both areas of conflict. Not to mention in Iraq as well.

Arabs are killing Arabs yet why is Iran intervening in Iraq and Yemen as well as in Syria? Be more specific on that reason. Is something provoking you to intervene because Arabs killing Arabs?
Yemen has been under sea and air blockade ever since the war started. There is no way for Iran to send anything (even humanitarian aid) to Yemen even if it wants to.

Syria is a different story. And it is no secret that Iran is helping Syrian governement

Arabs are killing Arabs yet why is Iran intervening in Iraq and Yemen as well as in Syria? Be more specific on that reason. Is something provoking you to intervene because Arabs killing Arabs?

For the same reason you've been intervening in Middle eastern countries affairs for decades ... you from two continents away come over here, your aircraft carriers are present in Persian gulf and you are involved in all aforementioned issues from Yemen to Syria, Libya, Egypt and you ask us why we intervene in our region?

It's ipso facto that we must have to be careful on events taking place in our region ... surly they would have impact upon us ..

On Iraq : you invaded this country in 2003 .. can you remember? Be more specific on the reason behind your invasion . Is something provoking you to intervene ? WMD? Iraq's link to AQ?
On the other hand we are in Iraq due to official request from Iraqi government to help them in war against ISIS .. Iran was the first country which help them when no one came to their aid not only Shias we helped Kurds and Sunnis too .....if ISIS were in Mexico would you remain silent? we are in Iraq 'cause of our national security ...
On Yemen: Yemeni people are being killed on daily basis and its infrastructures have been razed to the ground by Saudi and coalition's bombs and you point the finger at Iran? an election with only one candidate and without presence of large political groups like Houthis and Southern Movement is democratic? actually crisis in Yemen has got roots in their long internal problems like poverty, discrimination, water, fuel subsidies ... and Persian gulf Arab states interventions ..
Syria: From the first day we called out for political solution in Syria, it was Iran notion that disarmed Assad regime's CW. but Arab states started pumping weapons and money into Syria for political advantages ...

Iran denies sending intercepted weapons to Gaza | The Times of Israel

An Iranian official denied an Israeli report that Tehran had sent “advanced weaponry” for Palestinian terrorists in Gaza on a ship intercepted by Israel in the Red Sea on Wednesday.

“We completely deny this report which is totally without foundation,” an unnamed military official said, quoted on state-run Iranian television’s Arabic-language Al-Alam channel.

Israel said earlier that its navy intercepted a cargo vessel, the “Klos-C,” in international waters between Sudan and Eritrea that was carrying “an Iranian shipment of advanced weapons.”

"Israel has accused Iran of trying to establish similar supply lines by sea to Palestinian militants in Gaza, who have fired dozens of rockets at the Jewish state since the start of 2014. Iran had previously cut funding to Hamas over the organization’s support of the uprising against Syrian President Bashar Assad, although reports in late 2013 suggested that the two had mended their relationship.

For their part, Hamas officials denied that the shipment was bound for Gaza, calling it a “silly joke.”

“This is a new Israeli lie aimed to justify and prolong the blockade of Gaza,” Taher Al-Nono, an adviser of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, said according to Reuters.

Hezbollah denies aiding Syrian regime - Khaleej Times

BEIRUT — Powerful Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Thursday denied accusations it is assisting the Syrian government to crush protests roiling the country since mid-March.

“Hezbollah vehemently denies accusations by some Syrian opposition members that it is helping to put down the protests in Syria and asserts that these allegations are untrue,” the Shiite party, which is backed by the regimes in Syria and Iran, said in a statement.

It said the allegations were politically motivated and aimed at paving the way for the West to meddle in Syria’s internal politics.

“We are against such interference and favour reform and stability that would enable the Syrian people to prosper and move forward,” the statement said.

Hezbollah, the strongest military and political group in Lebanon, has largely stayed mum on the revolt in Syria while supporting the revolutions that have taken place elsewhere in the region.

Intelligence officials say Hezbollah’s weapons transit through Syria and the party has been put in a difficult position by the revolt taking place there."

U.S. Accuses Hezbollah of Aiding Syria’s Crackdown
The United States accused the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Friday of deep involvement in the Syrian government’s violent campaign to crush the uprising there, asserting that Hezbollah has trained and advised government forces inside Syria and has helped to expel opposition fighters from areas within the country.

The American accusations, which were contained in coordinated announcements by the Treasury and State Departments announcing new sanctions against Syria, also accused Hezbollah of assisting operatives of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Quds Force in training Syrian forces inside Syria. A Treasury statement said the Hezbollah secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, had overseen those activities, which it called part of the Syria government’s “increasingly ruthless efforts to fight against the opposition.”

"Both Hezbollah and Iran have repeatedly denied that they have aided Mr. Assad’s military. They have supported his contention that the uprising against him is led by terrorist groups armed by Sunni Arab monarchies, Israel and the United States."

Not until later that it was admitted they are fighting for Assad.

You morally support them? You didn't just morally support them. You provided weapons to them. No different than providing weapons and military training as well sending military personnel in Syria. You guys even bragged about Hezbollah using drones made by Iran and provided evidence of it. Indeed that is the relations between Hezbollah and Iran.

When we gave hamas something we told the world . And about Hezbollah, they were not in syria but after takfiris brought the war to lebanon they entered the war in syria.
After all their reason for extence is protecting lebanon. It's not matter if the threat come from israel or from somewhere else, in this case an amiable coalition of more than 90 country.

Hezbollah is helping Assad fight Syria uprising, says Hassan Nasrallah | World news | The Guardian

Hezbollah is helping Assad fight Syria uprising, says Hassan Nasrallah
Leader of Lebanese group hints that Russia and Iran would intervene militarily, declaring that Syria has 'real friends' in region

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has confirmed for the first time that members of the powerful Lebanese Shia organisation are helping President Bashar al-Assad fight the uprising against his rule – and will stand by him.

Nasrallah – a close ally of Assad – also hinted that Russia and Iran, Syria's principal supporters, would intervene militarily to prevent his defeat.

"Syria has real friends in the region and the world that will not let Syria fall in the hands of America, Israel or Takfiri (extreme jihadi) groups," Nasrallah said in a broadcast on Hezbollah's al-Manar TV channel. "How will this happen? Details will come later. I say this based on information … rather than wishful thinking."

Alluding to concerns about growing sectarianism in the region, Nasrallah said there would be "dangerous retribution" if any harm befell the historic Sayyida Zeinab Shia shrine near Damascus.

Fighting in the Qusayr region inside Syria but close to the Lebanese border, was "not over," he said. Overall, his combative statement was widely seen as a pledge of public support for the Damascus government – and as such an escalation of the already grave crisis.

"Hezbollah had acted in defence of Lebanese border villages attacked by anti-Assad rebels so it was "normal to offer every possible and necessary aid to help the Syrian army, popular committees (pro-government militia) and the Lebanese," Nasrallah said

Hezbollah fighters have been seen in Syria helping the government from early on in the 25-month uprising but their presence, long formally denied, has become much both more open and large-scale in recent weeks, and funerals of fighters killed there are now a regular occurrence in Lebanon."

Hezbollah Role In Syria Crisis Looks Poised To Grow
WASHINGTON -- In October, Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, delivered a rare speech to comment on rising rumors about the Lebanese Shiite group's involvement in Syria's ongoing civil conflict.

For weeks, reports had circulated that the bodies of dead Hezbollah fighters had been returning from the battleground in neighboring Syria.

Nasrallah, speaking via a remote transmission as is his custom, vehemently denied the reports. But he also didn't rule out the possibility of Hezbollah joining the battle in the future.

"As of now, we have not fought alongside the regime," he said. "We don't know about the future."

The battle lines in Syria fall neatly along sectarian lines, with most of the Syrian rebels being Sunni Muslims supported by the Sunni countries of the Arabian Gulf, while Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime is being backed by the Shiite government of Iran and by Hezbollah. The latter has been open about its support for Assad -- at least politically.

But since Nasrallah's speech, signs have been growing that Hezbollah's armed wing is being drawn directly into Syria's conflict, raising the specter of the violence spilling over into Lebanon.

Lebanese newspapers reported last week that a handful of Hezbollah fighters had been killed in a battle with Syrian rebels in Al-Qusayr, a Syrian town not far from Lebanon and heavily populated with Shiites.

And on Wednesday, a group of Sunni Syrian rebels made a public threat to bring the fighting to Hezbollah, giving the group 48 hours to cease its incursions into Syria before the rebels would retaliate.

The next day, a top Free Syrian Army commander reiterated the warning. "As soon as the ultimatum ends, we will start responding to [Hezbollah] sources of fire," Gen. Selim Idriss, chief of staff of the Free Syrian Army, told Agence France-Presse. "Hezbollah is abusing Lebanese sovereignty to shell Syrian territory and Free Syrian Army positions."

That deadline was set to end Friday, and there have been some early, unconfirmed reports of Syrian rebels attacking Hezbollah positions.

The reports of Hezbollah's incursions into Syria date back many months. However, in public remarks -- whether by official channels or through news reports -- Hezbollah party leaders and officers have always downplayed those stories and have spoken of their possible entry into the fighting as a reluctant and defensive measure. Officially, the group has called for the Lebanese government to become more involved in shaping a political settlement to the violence in Syria.

In his October address, for instance, Nasrallah denounced specific claims that a top commander with Hezbollah had died in a clash in a Syrian town not far from Lebanon, saying that the man had been killed in a weapons accident while helping guard a Lebanese border town.

"Abu Abbas is a commander of the group's infantry unit in the Bekaa," Nasrallah said, by way of explaining the commander's death. "He is then responsible for the Hezbollah members in that area, and because these border towns continue until this day to be attacked [by Syrian rebels], martyrs have fallen and Abu Abbas was one of them."

A pseudonymous Hezbollah commander undermined this claim in a recent New Yorker article, insisting that Abu Abbas had indeed perished in battle and that "a lot of bodies" have been coming back from the Syrian battleground.

But he also characterized the fight as the front line of a Shiite and Lebanese defense against a surge of Sunni Salafism pushed by the Syrian rebels and their allies in the Gulf. "You wait and see," he said. "You're going to have Salafists in Syria attacking the Golan Heights. What are you going to do then?"

His remarks echoed those of another unnamed Hezbollah fighter, who told McClatchy this week that while fighters had been going in and out of Syria in a supporting role, the extent of Hezbollah's involvement in the conflict was greatly exaggerated and remained focused on defending their own country from a flood of Sunni extremists.

The Free Syrian Army is not the only group to have launched broadsides against Hezbollah since the start of the Syrian uprising. Last September, a commander with an al Qaeda offshoot in Syria posted a message to online message boards denouncing the group for its reported involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, and promising retaliation.

Late last year, the United States designated another Syrian rebel faction, Jabhat al Nusra, as a terrorist group for its ties to al Qaeda in Iraq.

You are wrong what was seen was some volunnteer who went ther to protect the shrine in damasqus after it come under attack . They were not people sent by hezbollah and qussair hapenned one year after takfiris entered lebanon.

I'm not going to criticize Iran for getting involved in the conflict whether Syria, Iraq or Yemen. Just that its silly to hide it.

.
Past history has shown Iran is not deterred or has succeeded in the past even with Israel trying to prevent weapons being smuggled in.
Yemen's geopolitical situation is different. In lebanon or Gaza, there were neighboring countries that helped or looked away and let the weapons get through. In case of Yemen, It only has two neighbors. One is Saudi Arabia which is off the table. 2nd is Oman which although a friend of Iran but is also in Arab league and likes to remain neutral in this situation. Something that Iran will honor as currently the good relation between the two countries is much more valuable than what is happening in Yemen. The other way is through the sea which is well guarded by the coalition including your own fleet.

So as I mentioned, Iran can't send arms to Yemen even if it wants to (I really doubt if it really want to). And so far, unlike the war in Syria and Lebanon, you don't see any sign of Iranian weapons used by Yemenis.

I also think that part of the unannounced nuclear deal was a number of arrangements between Iran and US in the region, one of which requiring Iran to leave Yemen alone in return of US being more aligned with Iran's policy in Syira. You already can see attitudes on both sides has changed when it comes to these two countries.

Iran officially declared that she is helping anyone or any group or any country that is working against Israel... Iran declared officially that they armed Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrian and Iraqi resistance fighters with all sorts of weaponry... It is not hidden... The only ones that is only accusation is Iranian arming Yemenis, or Bahrainis, or Shias in Eastern Saudi... or the most important base-less accusation: Iran arming Pakistani Shia!! This is so base-less that does not worth mentioning...

USA, Saudis, Qataris, Turks, French, Brits, other Western countries are dong all sorts of interfiering in others affairs, arming whoever terrorist groups they want, making evil terrors on IRanian scientists... doing all sorts of terrorist actions from Cyber to military actions... They support an IRanian Terrorist group that terrored more than 17K innocent civilians in last 3 decades and instead of letting them in terrorist groups list, USA removes them from the list and gives them a base in France! They create Taliban... Al qaeda...They create and support Al Nosrah (al qaeda branch in Syria), ISIL in Iraq and Syria and Yemen... They support human heart-earters.... They follow their old method of destabilization and chaos... They leave Boceau Haram unharmed and send weapons to Al Qaeda in Syria... their list of evil inteventions are endless and yet they come label IRan as the major threat to the world security!! Iran leads very moderate shia Muslims where there are no Takfiri agenda... Where Shia fighters in lebanon, Iraq and Syria defend Christians before their own fellow Shias...

Yes, as Iran declared officially... She is and will support any entity that is working against Zionsm and Israel and their agenda... This is a public policy

But baseless claims of Iran trying to revive its Persian Empire or occupying Arab countries!! (as if the current Arabs are giving a damn about their already occupied lands by Israel!!) or Iran arming Shia in Pakistan and India and Azerbaijan and Bahrain and some others is simply too base less to respond.... Iran only defend and support those shia who are threatended or suppressed by their governments which btw, mostly Sheikhdom dictatorships!!
