Yes is smaller, but that is because you are comparing two different class engine. F-110 is for heavy fighter jets. RD-33 is classified for lightweight fighter jet.

Do you consider the amount of heat that is produced in the F-110 vs RD-33? The alloys needed to protect the engine from such heat?

the stages , the pressure ratio how much trust it produce compared to the amount of fuel it consume .
pure trust is not that important otherwise J-79 produce more trust(meanwhile consume more than twice the amount of fuel) but can you consider it more advance ? by the way I think you can consider last generation of RD-33 such RD-33MK as advanced or let say more advanced as it become digitized have more trust to weight ratio and have more service life and come with TVC and have lower Heat signature.

This is propaganda.

Keeping an engine flying by being able to do maintenance on them and replacing some fatigued parts, is not the same as being able to serial produce the engine.

Iran is not producing RD-33 so stop spreading lies. BTW RD-33 is a 50 year old engine. So saying that RD-33 is “more advanced” than the F-110 is propaganda.

Doesn’t change the fact that Iran can not serial produce the engine. nor does it mean that the TF30 (or early F-110) is less advanced than a base RD-33. Nor is Iran secretly producing the RD-33.

TF-30 and F-110 are more powerful engines in a different class (heavy) than RD-33 (light).

And no iran doesn’t produce RD-33 stop saying stupid comments.

For Urban patrol you can't afford the shrapnel from a direct hit killing a civilian let alone having a miss or malfunctioning projectile do far more harm then the assailants ever could....

For Urban and highly populated suburban areas being able to launch armed Quad type versions from various locations and having mobile trucks designed to launch them would work far better and you can equip them with various types of lethal and none lethal weapons.....
For Armed versions, Iran should equip it's security forces with quad type versions that can easily switch weapons based on mission parameters.... You can build none lethal weapons designed to disable a car safely (If they have hostages), ability to drop lethal and none lethal grenades at a closer & safer distance without having to use higher cost PGM's, disperse specially designed nets or tasers against assailants on bikes, motorcycles or on the run,...

You see even in urban area some driver here beg to be hit by a missile .but to be honest I meant armed with a microwave weapon that will be able to disable electronic system and computers in modern cars.
