This should make Iran Drone Strategists happy....it also tell you about their insight into military trends of the future.

The hits keep coming for the F-35...now the Brits are looking to cut their buy!

Stealth/low RCS supersonic combat drones are on their way and Iran should NOT sit back and wait...
Iran's OWJ engines may not be sufficient for a modern manned fighter however on a UCAV's they may be the most ideal engine due to cost and ease of production.
The materials used on the frame and the structural design of the fuselage of the F-5's may not be Ideal for modern manned fighters however they are more than ideal for a supersonic UCAV

Mass producing a successful stealth supersonic interceptor could literally be the one capability that could potentially prevent an enemy from gaining full air superiority over Iranian airspace.

This is one of the reasons why I am so against producing light manned combat aircraft like Kowsar and F-313. For manned platforms Iran needs to mainly be working on heavier force multipliers because at the end of the day and in the long run it is NOT cheaper to purchase and operate 10 X $10M ($100M) light manned fighters as appose to 1 X $200M force multipliers. Even if the price tag is 2X as much at first what you save on the maintenance, training & operational costs and requirements of operating 1 fighter as appose to 10 fighters in the span of a decade will more than make up for it.

UCAV's don't require glass cockpits, canopy, ejection seats, oxygen,... They don't require expensive pilot training and flight hours... A larger portion of a UCAV fleet would not require repeated maintenance, overhaul, parts replacement,...

I`ve finally managed to figure out something thats always puzzled me about the very first incarnation of the drone that would eventually evolve into the kaman 12,
In the earliest pics of the drone it has no engine and where you would normally expect to mount one right at the rear of the airframe,it instead had a rounded boat tail section fitted,in addition just in front of that area right on top of the fuselage were these 2 rather curious vertical spoilers sticking out but serving no apparent purpose.........until I came across this pic and it all suddenly made sense, those vertical spoilers were in fact the mounts for a micro jet engine

I finally found the exact sort of pic that I`ve been after for a while now,one that shows the basic transition/design evolution of the airforce kaman 12 drone starting with the shahin and then to the mohajem92 and finally the kaman 12.

The Shahin would`ve originally had a tail just like the mohajem and kaman, but at one point was modified into the inverted v type before being converted back, this would`ve happened after the drone was modified with the new larger nose that we see on the mohajem.

Compare the complexity of the first and second UAV through history of attacks:

1. Unknown UAV to make a hole in a hull:

2. New UAV

————-

Iranian Harpy was slightly different in this example though:

Now compare to Chinese Harop, X8:

The young engineer has many wise words that pertain to the entire country and to some of the most important and severe problems plaguing the country.

In this post, I quote the video by @WudangMaster.

Significant difference compared to the Iranian version above. Not the same VTOL drones.

Compare to:

This was an unknown drone in Yemen war last month. Might be related:

This is when Yemen wants to hit Izmir

I'm sorry, but it still needs 500km more for Izmir. However, according to this map, Antalya, which our Iranian brothers love so much, may remains within the circle, if all other countries airspaces are passed by like drawing with a ruler. Of course, this can be a good hobby to improve map drawing skills, but still at the beginner level. :)

why do they want to hit Turkey? while there are still NGO s in Turkey making campaign to help yemeni civilians and children????
i think iranians want to hit turkey but what after that? they may taste their own medicine after an attack, bear in mind Turkey is not saudi.
