What's new

Iranian Space program

9. Pay for financial damages due to the sanctions (full compensation),
10. pay for killing General Suleimani.
11. Extend JCPOA measures to the rest of the region.
12. No interference in our weapon and space program.
13. No interference in our foreign policy.

Never gonna happen unless Iran recognizes Israel and signs peace deal lasting 100 years.

This time around, it is the US that needs to prove their commitment to JCPOA for Iran and the remaining partners in order to restore faith.

They must start by:

1. Re-joining the JCPOA
2. Lift all UN and unilateral sanctions (including import/export of arms)
3. Re-integrate Iran to SWIFT for international banking transactions
4. Approve licence for the delivery of all remaining Boeing and Airbus passenger planes ordered
5. Un-freeze all US and foreign-based Iranian assets (including Iranian banks abroad)
6. Remove visa ban for all Iranian citizen
7. Allow unconditional export of Iranian oil
8. Let Iran export excess enriched uranium to Russia for storage

AND THEN...the US can REQUEST Iran to fully comply with the Nuclear Deal!

PERIOD
And one more condition, USA shall not have authority to request/initiate sanctions SnapBack mechanism! Otherwise another Republican administration will again initiate SnapBack mechanism in the UN.

I believe we're looking at this wrong. The IRI's broad goal is the removal of the US from it's 'near abroad'. We see this happening in fits and spurts today. This disallows any engagement beyond one time or tactical matters. As for *this* tactical matter, taban is extracted not requested like some petty transaction which is also manifest in IRI's public stance. Additionally, there is a high cost to IRI's strategy which is willingly being paid and will continue to be willingly paid until the goal is met. This is *Iran* for crying out loud---the thinking and projects are big and far reaching. See it, think it, believe it, do it.

Official: Iran Needs to Develop Space-Based Radars

Official: Iran Needs to Develop Space-Based Radars
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian deputy defense minister called for the development of space-based radars inside the country.
In comments at a conference on radar and monitoring systems on Saturday, Brigadier General Qassem Taqizadeh said Iran will have to employ space-based radars sooner or later.

He called for the development of the space-based radar technology in the country’s scientific centers and preparation of the ground for such technical know-how to prevent a “strategic” surprise.

Hailing Iran’s progress in radar technologies, the general said local experts have manufactured a broad range of phased array passive and active radars and have strengthened the country’s capabilities in the electromagnetic sphere.

“We are trying to thwart the enemy’s electromagnetic onslaught,” Taqizadeh said.
In remarks in October, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said Iran is one of the ten best manufacturers of military radars in the world.

He said the new radars, manufactured by the IRGC Aerospace Force, are capable of detecting stealth aircraft within a range of 350 kilometers and all other targets within a distance of above 1,000 km.

I hope they do the right thing and hand it over to IRGC-ASF, or at least IRGC has a back up to launch if the roshni admin messes it up. I hope they don't mess up, but i have to pessimistic here...
They really should do a complete thorough flight test of the simorgh first before putting actual equipment on them.

its too early to say but i see some movement in IRGC launch center which could indicate either a soiled fuel missile is going up with heavy IRGC missile experts help or that the launch is carried out entirely by IRGC , but again its too early to call it

Manufacturing of a metal sphere for several applications such as space and also oil and water industry.

Very interesting piece of engineering, must see:

This controlled combustion is the opposite of what happened in the second stage of a thermonuclear device. Capability of symmetrical controlled pressure release.

Iran completes construction of Nahid-2 satellite
Iran completes construction of Nahid-2 satellite

TEHRAN, Jan. 21 (MNA) – Iranian experts have completed the construction of a communications satellite and an orbital transmission system.

“The construction projects of ‘Nahid-2’ communication satellite and ‘Saman’ Orbital Transmission System have been completed, and the devices will be delivered to the Iranian Space Agency by the [Iranian] yearend [March 2021],” Head of Iranian Space Agency Morteza Barari told Mehr on Thursday.

Nahid-2 (meaning Venus in Persian) has been designed and developed by the Iranian Space Research Center, and is currently passing the final testing stages, he said
“The satellite will be ready for launch before the current year ends,” Barari added.

Nahid-2 is a telecommunication satellite that will be placed in a geosynchronous orbit.
Nahid-2 is the successor to Nahid-1, a communications satellite that is to help improve Iran’s ranking in space communications.

Weighing approximately 100 kilograms and measuring 64 by 64 centimeters, the mission of Nahid-2 is to focus on the development and testing of basic technologies needed for building geostationary communication satellites with an operational life of two years. It can establish communications and measure radiation and test simultaneous telephone connections.

Saman Orbital Transmission System

Barari noted that the development project of the Saman Orbital Transmission System has also been completed, and it will be delivered to the Iranian Space Agency by March.

For the first mission, Saman-1 will be used to transfer a 100-kilogram satellite from a low Earth orbit about 400 km above the Earth's surface to a higher elliptical orbit at an altitude of 7000 km.
Following the parliament’s approval, Iran’s space program started in 2004 and launched its first domestically-made data-processing satellite named Omid (Hope) in 2009.

The country also sent its first bio-capsule containing living creatures into space in February 2010, using the indigenous Kavoshgar-3 (Explorer-3) carrier. Iran is a founding member of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
