Iran has had recon and detection capability around the clock (24/7) in the Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman, Arabian Sea, and the northern Indian Ocean for any vessel bigger than 1 Sq meter since 2017 and clearly evident by US & Western navies avoidance to wander around Iran's sea shores for many years now, and Iran's ability to capture the Escorted English tankers, the US marine boats, the Greek oil tanker, and the successful recapturing of a hijacked Iranian oil Tanker in the sea of Oman by the US Navy. Moreover, there are many other events in the sea of Oman, and Northern Indian Ocean were Iran's Navy able to detect US submarines and other Naval assets within 120 miles of the Iranian naval assets in the area. Thus, your opinion/views are baseless as they reflect only your own perception about Iran's Naval capabilities all of which defy reality as facts refute your views.Iran controls its territorial waters from its coasts with its naval missiles, of which it possesses many.
And even on the Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea. Even nearby countries and energy sources through their missiles.
Therefore, I do not think that anyone is thinking of penetrating its territorial waters, let alone attacking its lands.
And because it is looking for a broader regional and international role, or to remove aircraft carriers that threaten its security, it is looking for a stronger naval force that reaches all seas and oceans. But this is not easy at all and requires funds if that money is directed towards other projects that will have a better return.
Each weapon must have four things:
To see the threat, danger, or target
Then the ability to access it
then destroy it
It provides protection during these missions
The first of these four elements is not possessed by Iran
It does not have the technology of making radar, and as far as I know, it did not get a good quality of it for detecting targets.
Iran should acquire the technology to manufacture the radar with gallium nitride technology.
As far as I know, it has an eagle eye project, which I think is with Chinese help, which is likely.
Iran has quartz sand, and with simple money it can convert it into wafer and then into electronic chips, solar panels, LED lights, and many other things on which the industry and the future depend. Rather, this technology gives it more power.
Furthermore, Iran makes very advanced radars for A2A, S2A, S2S and many Naval radar systems that are in par with the best know systems in the world, so you're dead wrong on that, as well.
The final element of your old thought process (very old indeed), Iran has robust anti-ship weapon systems that could target and destroy any naval vessel in the US Navy, and from long ranges unmatched even by USA or any of its allies, and that didn't come easy. Iran invested (still does) enormous resources to build its naval capabilities but not according to the conventional old fashion (bigger is better), but robust vessels with high speed, low radar signature, and long range detection capabilities, as well as superior firepower. Iran's Naval reconnaissance capabilities are superior to every other Navy in the region, and its reaction time to any skirmish and confrontation is way better than what US & its allies Naval forces are able or capable of, and that's why they keep barking against Iran 24/7 along with their proxies in the region and beyond. Iran rendered those muscular thugs to French poodles, lots of barking but no bite.
Welcome to the new world, this is no longer 19th century were lowly England could dominate the oceans by shear vessel numbers and their size (no one else had any such toys then), nowadays, paradigms of war and naval power are changed and your ideas about Naval power projection which is purely 19 century models are no longer valid.
Old habits die hard, the west which looted and dominated most of the world for almost three centuries via big Naval guns, and lately thru standoff terror Weapons such as cruise missiles launched from 500-800 miles away are dead ideas albeit the west keeps insisting on having the best Navies, and brag constantly about that falasy to accentuate their fraudulent superiority to portray their declining power as peerless. The US navy terrorised the World in the past 70 plus years by hit and run tactics but that is no longer possible due to long range anti ship missiles, and the vanishing technology gap between the west and near peer powers such as Iran, and China for example. Only simpletons could be convinced to swear by such lies as monopoly on truth due to the inferiority complex. The train left the station and this old model is dead, and yet, you keep paroting this nonsense as truth, it's no longer. In Iran's case; it has shown that it is always several steps ahead of the collective brain-dead Anglo-Saxons & their allies.
To understand the calamity of West's dilemma against Iran is very simple to demonstrate; For several years now, all military or civilian vessels going thru the Strait of Hormuz must adhere to the following new rules:
1- Must clearly display the Iranian national flag on each vessel while in route in that area.
2- All communication must be conducted in the Persian language, thus, every vessel must have a Farsi speaker to convey destination, purpose, and time of stay in the persian gulf during the entry phase, and the same while departing. These are the new instruction, and it shows who is the boss . . I hope you understand the reality without getting too carried away about matters beyond your pay grade such as radar technology, Silicon wafers and alike. By the way, Iran does produce class-1 clean-room silicon wafers since early 2000s, and produces the substrate which is the building material of Silicon Wafers, and all is done locally, as well as single crystal Nickel super-alloys among only 4 countries in the world. Beyond that, Iran also designs and makes gas turbine for power generation with up to 320 megawatts among thousands of other industrial goods, which I cannot list in this forum. Better do some research, if you are interested in Iran, which seems to be the case. Western sources are a useless since they are collections of fabrications, black propaganda, Iran phobic, Islamophobic news clips from Israeli newspapers reprinted by WP, NY Times and hundreds of other media outlets, and dozens of Jewish owned and operated phony think-tanks in USA, England, and the West.
