A question: is J-700 even being mass produced? At what rate? How long does it take to build a single one?
let see when you look at a software , you have Developer , then you have several release candidate (RX1,RC2,RC3) then they have a limited release and then release .
Jahesh-700 is in the pre-release stage
by the way previously you compared Jahesh-700 with ouj and said that how many owj we produce . the consider it building the jet engine , when the engine become bigger is a lot harder than small ones and after you managed several key steps like mastering production single crystal blades . then producing owj would be harder than jahesh-700 as ouj produce a lot more power and have higher pressure inside irs chambers and if i'm not wrong have higher input temprature

So you answered your own question below:

So the engine is not even ready for its intended use as a light jet/drone engine and you want to convert it into a helicopter engine.

If you sit in a room you could manage to argue with yourself. :coffee:

Frustrating, isnt it?
According to Brigadier general Khajeh-Fard interview in one year ago , their problem is not producing helicopter , its finding somebody who trust them and buy it

Is Iran making them to sell or for domestic use?! Iran should worry about its own needs first before thinking about selling. Jumping the gun a bit, dont you think? Other countries have a wide range of top quality manufacturers they can buy from. Talk about getting your priorities straight! 🙄

even for domestic use , some organization , private company or anything must order them the defence ministry don't have money to build these helicopter and then donate them to others .
also no weapon production can be sustained only by domestic sale its always welcome to have foreign sale. but that won't happen unless they bought it inside country

If this helicopter was so great why didn’t Artesh/IRGC buy it?

It’s quite hilarious when some of these officials make such statements. “We have no problem making this but we need someone who will trust us to build it”.

If your own military doesn’t trust you and thinks it’s too risky chances are it’s too risky.

Turkey’s attack helicopter needed foreign engines to fly. Iran’s helicopters needs an engine. Iran’s tanks need an engine. Iran’s aircraft need engine. Do you see a pattern?

Iran’s submarine built
Iran’s bigger submarine built
Iran’s frigate built
Iran’s catamaran built

When Iran has the propulsion mass produced. It can build whatever it wants. Usually when it doesn’t, the project languishes.

Then Iran must not pursue something that itself wont can't benefit from first. There is no country on this earth that produces something that itself cant afford or wont use. Kinda illogical. Can you not see the contradiction in what youve just posted? First you say Iran doesnt have the money to make and donate the choppers internally. Then you say at the end there that internal sales have to happen before foreign sales can occur. First of all Iran doesnt simply "donate" there has to be some kind of internal sale whereby there is a budget, and from that budget you procure from the manufacturer. Obviously it will be subsidised to some degree by the government if it's worth it and the money is there. I think we can agree that Iran isn't anywhere near exporting choppers so they need to manage their expectations a little bit.

You wouldn’t have RQ-170, predator, scan Eagle, Harop, Dezful, Karrar....should I continue?

Most of Iran’s weapons are initially reverse engineered US and Russian weapons.

Buying arms is not bad thing when you have the capability to learn from and reverse engineer them.

It was a bad thing during Shah era when you had limited industrial base to reverse engineer.

, you want reverse engineer , good go reverse engineer , those Bells , ch-47 , mil-mi17, AH-1 and.... why import new one when you actually don't need them urgently .
even better , why not go and reverse engineer the engine as we have already designed everything else
