from his perspective there is no more difference between our military power ....
and I should admit he is logical ... even if we compare Iran military power at current time to Saddam military power at 1991 , then I can say in paper Saddam army where a shoulder and head taller than our current Army ....
Iraq had modern tanks , modern Army , modern air force , modern Anti air defense systems and ...
he is an ex-solders and he love his country just like us ... if I was in his place , I would go to street and insult our politicians and army Generals for letting " my country army" to be taunt by much weaker nation ...
Saddam at his best was representing 20% of Iraqi people , majority of Iraqis didn't support him ... I don't care about military power not 'cause it's not important mostly 'cause it would be 3rd or forth factor in a war ... the rest is who and how you use your weapons ... and Iran and Iraq are not comparable ... population, area, geography , accessing to seas and ... Iraqi is mostly desert and plain while Iran is mostly mountainous ... Saddam was brought to the power by external powers and armed with external powers too and fought for their cause that's why they didn't topple him back in 1991 and let him to hover his choppers to crackdown Shia and Kurds uprising .. that's why when he was arrested in a rat hole at the end of 2003 he introduced himself as the president of Iraq 'cause he was thinking that American would keep him in power again.. he didn't resist ...
