INDIA: A relatively poor country that has Patriotic leadership today launched her second moon landing mission

Good luck to them..Iran would have been not far behind if IR leadership did not deliberately destroy our civilian space program.:hitwall:...Qajar kings will be happy to know they were not alone!
The big mistake was transferring the space program to civilian control,as this allowed rouhani to gut it as a jcpoa freebee to his new western bffs.
The biggest problem tho, apart from naive politicians [ie appeasers],was simply the limited rocket engine technology that iran had access to in the 00s to the early 10s.
Now personally I think that iran did incredibly well, under the circumstances that it was faced with, with its assorted hodge-podge of rodong engines, modified r27/ssn6 verniers and assorted various other stuff of unknown/uncertain origins.
However in the 13 years since the unveiling of the simorgh iran has made huge strides in both liquid and solid fuel rocket motor technology. The main thing now,in addition to coming up with a more modern replacement for the simorgh,is to increase both the number and the tempo of launches, not only to find the problems and come up with the solutions, but to also give the personnel in the space program the levels of experience that they badly need.
If the requisite political will is there then this can certainly be done.
Yes it was a real tragedy that all of the time and effort from the first attempt at a space program was allowed to dissipate because of the stupidity and political naivety of a certain politician, however theres no use crying over spilt milk. The best thing to do is to learn a lesson from it,and in this case its to make sure that you have two separate space programs, one a civilian program and the other a military one that the civilian government cant easily touch.

Why do you love whites so much and hate Iran so much?

Why do you worship UK?

Just trying to be friendly

I agree by now it is water under the bridge..but recently I have this nagging feeling that IR is using both Iran's civilian space program (what ever is left of it) and the nuclear program just as bargaining tools for some future negotiations and the IR leadership has never been serious enough towards real objectives of these two programs...it is like raising and fattening a cow before slaughter...you may look good for a while but your ultimate goals are not so honorable!...
My only hope is now on the military space program. By the look of it it appears the North Korea has way passed Iran on the lift capabilites and Iranian program lingers with " very very soon" launch bulletins !

Russia official Foreign Ministry account tweets fake name of Persian Gulf ("Gulf")

Russia is a rival, not a ally

None sense we were told they are strategic Allies. China did a similar blunder to show their love for Iran.

Arab $$$$ is worth way more than anything Iran can give these countries.

Russia is economically vulnerable. Just like Iran, however, this excuse cannot be a reason for shortsightedness.

Not long ago Saudi Arabia ( part/leader of recent "friends" of Russia) sent $400 million dollar "aid" package to Ukraine.

At the start of Ukraine conflict Iran's Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces got sanctioned by EU because of "Iran's involvement in this conflict".

I will leave many things that I want to say aside other than one simple and important issue on the side : (as @TheImmortal point it out)

According to Russia's actions and their recent activities, power of money is much more important than even weapons during war time.

Ability to choose things you like from others ( money )
> Weapons/support during war time.

This Russia came out from communism and the so called "holy" war against capital/capitalism.

And these things happening when the ground is like this :) (BBC's map )

Russia is like that girl that is attracted to terrible people.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia have done immense damage to Russia. Iran has been one of its few Allies. But Iran is isolated and not loaded with cash or strategically a NATO member (Turkey). So Russia sees us as a card to be dealt whenever they need concessions from the West.
