No one gave Saddem chemical weapons,,, but he did purchase the materials to make chemical weapons,, belive it or not mainly from the dutch.. look it up.

On December 23, 2005, he was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for complicity in war crimes, as the court argued the charges of genocide could not be substantiated. His case was also notable because it established that the chemical bombings in North Iraq constituted genocide according to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide

by the same logic, what should be done with nations and people who introduce these weapons ? invent / produce.

Looking back it does not seem like such a good idea, even our soldiers were affected. But its a stretch to compare it to what Saddam did with the Kurds.

Which war ? There is one war the U.S. is trying to fight that matters and that is with Al-Qaeda. Iraq never mattered and the Taliban issue is about the stabilization of Afghanistan. Most of these other terror orgs will break up once the U.S. leaves as they were only formed out to fight the occupation. Like the ones in Iraq. The main focus here is to stabilize Afghanistan and keep the pressure on Al-Qaeda's main areas. Anything besides these two are completely pointless.

Iraq was Being ruled by anti Iranian leader Saddam(now being removed courtsey US). Muqtada al Sadar now a prime figure in Iraqi Politics.They could have bombed the hell out of him but didnt.
Afghanistan was ruled by Taliban(supported by sauds) who had an anti Iranian stance are now being removed from power courtsey US.

Pakistan's relation with Iran cannot be termed as healthy but they are not bad either. However its the Saudi influence in Pakistan specially in the political landscape that might irks Iranian regime that they see Pakistan as anti Iran.

Hezbollah supported by Iran, Despite being heavilly armed Israeli forces didnt carried on with the War in Lebanon and they had the chance to Bomb the Iranian Embassy where Hezbola's leader found refuge but Israeli planes just hovered over it and bombed the civilian buildings around it .

There are number of reasons why US and Israel havent yet bombed Iran and letting it pursue a nuclear program. A stronger Iran could scare the hell out of Arabs so that they might give in almost anything to US.

Russian hypocracy and double standards are annoying its traditional friends and countries in its circle of influence, lately. There foriegn policies are no where that of a country once USSR was. They are not even a shadow of it.

Medvedev look more of a joker than a president of Russia. Putin is still far better even being a priminister. Putin is much more clear and far sighted in his views on international affairs.
