Is it named for the sake of solidarity or does it have some operational significance? Does the 2000 km range signify something especially in the context of the Israeli Palestinian issue?

Both. The Shahed 129 has the same range, putting them in range of Israel/Palestine.
It seems comparable to China's Wing Loong 2 in terms of size. Does it also have SATCOM?

Iranian drones use a ground control station AFAIK.

yes they have SATCOM for 2000-3000 kms + ground antennas up to 600 kms

the real name is Shahed-149, its named Gaza in respect to resent Gaza war, it could go near Israel border with Syria and gather intelligence and then feed it to alias like Hamas or any other group actually

If they want to help Gaza people, they must send a few to Gaza instead named it Gaza.

Governments who talk about Gaza get popular support between Muslim people, but they only talk, and they do nothing. Like Erdogan in Turkey.

Is it capable of escaping Israel iron dome system?
it can climb to 35000 feet sooo can Iron dome intercept a target flying 10 kms above its head ?

these drones get shot down easily not good for that environment, Gaza needs short range - medium range air defense systems first
