Any possibility that China TOT the engine? Not to offend, but talking about the possibility. I have to admit this is a great achievement by Tehran.

although I don't like some of the post here, but Iran has my sincere respect. They have backbones.

I hope China and Iran can maintain high level bilateral relationship in the future.

Iran had agreement for that with Russia in 90's they import most of production line at that time.
As other said Karar is heavy upgrade on T72 like T90 itself although I prefer to upgrade old T72 to karar at first, this can save a lot of money at first place then think about new Tanks.
