Hi Irfan

I think the purpose of this helicopter was to also be used in the civilian industry, not just military. The other Helicopters Iran makes are copies of American ones and I think they are used only in the military.

This year we will also (hopefully) see the unveiling on the national helicopter. You can see the little mockup in this thread.
I wish Pakistan could help Iran by purchasing these heli's. It could help boost Iran manufacturing. Iran would be more than willing to sell and I am sure they would be cheap.



He is not claiming shahed-278 is a copy is he? He is saying Iran makes some other heli's already which are based on old western tech. Mate, I wont reply to you posts, honestly I though you were at least a reasonable and cool guy but it seems to me you're just like the others.

They look like a copy to the untrained eye. The shahed does look like a copy of a bell to an untrained eye like mine.
