Tehran, Iran, Dec. 16
By Milad Fashtami - Trend:
The atmosphere of the nuclear talks is great, but the two sides still have long way to reach a comprehensive agreement.
"The two sides discussed several issues including sanctions imposed on Iran thoroughly," Deputy Foreign Minister in Legal and International Affairs of Iran Abbas Araqchi said, Iran's Fars News Agency reported on Dec. 16.
Araqchi made the remarks after a bilateral meeting with the US representatives.
"We will continue the talks in the evening, and a meeting between Iran and all the members of the P5+1 group of countries will be held on Wednesday," he said.
Araqchi and Deputy Foreign Minister in Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi are heading Iranian delegation in this round of talks.
US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman is the head of the US delegation.
In the last round of talks between Iran and Group 5+1 in Vienna, Austria, the two sides could not reach a final agreement, so the foreign ministers said they needed more time for a comprehensive agreement and extended the negotiations for more seven months and seven days.
