What's new

Iran says it will not reverse nuclear steps before US sanctions are lifted

Trump was wrong on a lot of points, but also right on more than a few.
He was for instance right when he said the Iran deal was a bad deal, in that it gave Iran the means to pursue regional violent interference and the ability to develop ICBMs (a precursor to having a nuclear arsenal, even if you develop them under the obvious cover of a civilian space program).

I hope Iran comes to it's senses and realizes a new more broad deal is in order here.
If not, then i hope the west is able to sanction the Iranian leaderships in ways that actually hurt them, in order to bring them to the negotiating table.
It does not matter what Trump, you or me think about the deal. The deal was signed and all sides must fulfill it. If one side break the deal - it nust pay compensations before new deal signed. Iran is in perfect moral and juridical position. US signature as usual worths zero. USA must be banned from all international structures, because it has no trust from freedom nations (not its vassals they - have no choice).

it was a bad deal, in hind-sight.

ordinary citizens world-wide expected Iran to stop development of it's nuclear weapons arsenal, and after the original deal was signed, Iran's leaders chose to pursue the development of other components of such an arsenal, namely ICBMs.
They also embarked upon a conventional weapons buying spree, using money from the original Iran deal.

https://www.google.com/search?q=ira...rome..69i57.4162j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 also comes to mind when we discuss Iran's right to be left alone.

we consider Iran a very real threat to the region it's in, Israel, and now our homelands too.

Iran's leaderships *must* be treated harshly by the international community, until they realize that their expansionist ways are not tolerated, no matter how much of a friendly face they put on their hidden weapons development and procurement.

with all due respect for your stupid pride here, Iran has betrayed the nuclear deal by developing ICBMs and expanding it's regional "influence" (hint : terror strikes and military strikes by militant groups powered by Iranian conventional weapons, which they bought with money from the iran nuclear deal).

it is NOT too much to ask a country to actually behave peacefully.

and i can only hope there's more we can do on the sanctions fronts. but i have a gut feeling there will be.
flash news that deal is called Nuclear Deal for a reason . its just about Nuclear program in short Iran slowing the pace of its nuclear program and restricting it in return getting help in some aspect of its civilian nuclear program and lifting of several sanction .
guess who stayed with it and who betray the deal.

and by the way exactly which ICBM Iran is producing or possess ?
So iran found a loop hole. Develop ICBMs because somehow that wasn't covered by the JCPOA text.

TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD AT LARGE, IRAN CEASING TO PRODUCE NUCLEAR MATERIALS MEANS THAT IRAN WOULD ABSTAIN FROM DEVELOPING NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
ICBMS ARE A VITAL PART OF A NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM, AND AS SUCH CAN *ALSO* NOT BE TOLERATED.
again which ICBM Iran is producing

.
multi-stage ballistic missiles are the delivery method of choice for nuclear weapons!
no that's preferred way to do an MRBM and if you want pinpoint accuracy on that missile that's the only way and who want pin-point accuracy on a nuclear missile ?

.
NO. Iran is actively engaged in an arms race, pretending to be innocent (with that civilian joke of a space program of theirs), and meanwhile developing ALL of the components to become a nuclear armed state!
and how much proof you have for your claims let guess . nill

do you forget why we started that joking space program of ours . have you forgot that you made a deal with us to send our telecommunication satellite into space about 20 years ago and after we send satellite there for evaluation and launch there you stole it.
I suggest before making any complain about Iran actions go and do a little research about the history behind it and why Iran did that
well if that's the case then i am all for increasing sanctions drastically and rapidly, and putting the options of military and secret forces strikes on the table too.

we should not allow a nation like Iran to develop nuclear weapons capability. whether that be via ICBMs, suitcase nukes, or any other method.
what remains to sanction . can you tell us

The JCPOA favoured iran alot actually. Especially the release of old money. The US realized it, dems know they made a mistake and trump cleaned it up for them. The US now will not just go back to the old deal, they certainly want renegotiation. The sanctions are really hurting iran but they dont show it publicly, so the dems have time on their side.
Sanction bite you until you learn to cope with them.
the old deal actually favored west not Iran , first it didn't released old frozen money and the 150 billion dollar number that touted by trump left and right come from his *** the actual number was 30 billion.
second it would have punished Iran if not following it but it didn't punished west for doing so.
third it restricted Iran abilities and monitored Iran far far far more than any country before . even more than countries that actually enriched uranium to 70-80% of purity

and 21 of February is the deadline and guess who is going to ran out of time and who has time on its side .
you new after that there won't be an additional protocol voluntarily implemented and we only obliged to Inform IAEA of any nuclear facility or plans just 6 month before introducing radio active material into them . oh the good old day that we built Fordow and nobody knew shit about it till we surprised the world by announcing it to IAEA
