Lebanon poses no real threat to Israel, in fact Lebanon is a good punching bag for Israel, and Hezbollah militias give Israel the perfect Allibi or excuse to invade and destroy Lebanon once in a while when Israel deems its necessary. Lol In fact the level of destruction and casualties Israel inflicted on Lebanon in the last war was so much that Lebanon still hasn't recovered to this day, in fact their economic crisis and bankruptcy is also due to this factor(among others). Lebanon is basically a failed corrupt state with a powerful militia group backed by a foreign power(Iran) as an army. Lol One of the only country on earth where a militia group is stronger than the country's military and runs part of the country and can decide if and when the country goes to war(like we saw during Israels invasion) or is invaded(the people and government are almost hostageto a militia group.)
The country is basically a joke to be honest
well, at least, the level of destruction israel inflicted on Lebanon wasn't all bad news. The positive thing about that is that Lebanon/Hezbollah learned another lesson from that, and there has been peace and there will be peace between both sides for a long time to come, Lebanese wouldn't want to provoke Israel again and make their living conditions even worse than it is already today
.
As for hamas and Gaza they are even weaker than Hezbollah/Lebanon and in a simikar economicbankrupt state, and are basically a good punching bag and target practice for Israel, so no threat there whatsoever. Lol Syria(like Jordan) is also no threat, and hasn't been since Israël beat them and taught them a good lesson during their last war in the late 60s which Israel still keeps their land and has basically annexed it already. The Assad familly (and Jordan) at least learned their lesson and never attacked or provoked Israel again since then(basically made peqce indirectly). In fact Israel/Syria border has been one of israel most peaceful borders since then under the Assad regime familly. Reason Israel wasn't as anti Assad as they should have been, in fact funny enough Israel was more wary of those radical islamist rebel groups that were fighting the Assad regime(more like Israel preferring the lesser of 2 evils, and the devil they know at least as the saying goes. Lol ).
Moroever, you can't compare U.S /Russia's geopolitical competition around the world to iran's and israel , and using it as an excuse to justify Iran never even trying to fire rockets or fight Israël directly. Lol For one, US leaders dont constantly claim they will destroy Russia/Soviet union , and that Russia has no place in that part of the world , or that Russians are shouldn't have a country there or that Russia is an illegal state/country etc etc. Moreover , your case is also a religious element which makes it even more complex to solve as emotions can be high on such issues. Etc. US and Russia/soviet Union were/are fighting for influence and to pull allies/countries to their side in a geopolitical battle for influence and to further their interests around those regions. It isn't about the existence of their respective states.
So Iran which prides itself as an Islamic Republic and flag bearer of true Islam in the region and constantly parrots slogans against Israel existence in the region should take the lead and fight Israel at least once, afterall, they are one of a select few countries in the region to be able to pose some real threat to Israel , not this silly militias amd weak states (like Syria/Iraq today) who are just target practice and training grounds for Israel military machine . At least Arab countries like Egypt tried and fought Israel directly more than once actually, and they did inflict farrrrr more damage and threat to Israel than all those militias put together can ever do in all their history, eventhough they eventually lost, but they fiught bravely. I still have more respect for them in this aspect. They have more credibility to talk to be honest . They didn't have to fight israel and put their country, infrastructure and territory in jeopardy, they could have just stay behind and also support militias groups who they know stand no chance or threat against Israel as well. Lol At least Egypt learned its lesson and made peace with Israel finally. "When you can't defeat them join them or at least seat down and negotiate with them" as the saying goes
