A welcome step I hope Iran could convince Pakistan to crush terror outfits active in Pakistan's Punjab to restart the dialogue process. They are a big hurdle in any future peace initiative and sooner they are done with better it would be the whole region.

I hope Iran can convince India to stop its terrorist murderous campaign against innocent Kashmiris. We can Only hope the terror training camp in New Delhi is disintegrated.

If you ask me, India will trust the neutrality of Iran in India Pakistan dispute than any other Islamic nation....So at least i see, it as a positive development...At least Iran can see the real picture in Kashmir dispute than other Muslim nations.

Mediation only helps when both parties are willing to solve the issue. India is not. the only way for Pakistan to solve this issue is from position of power. Period.

Things are not that simple as u want to believe...Our relations with Iran have been in debacle since Mullahs arrived in Iran through revolution. We had good relations with Iran under raza shah but Mullahs spolied by trying to export their revolution in neighboring countries. The fact is mullahs sitting in Iran don't want good relations with Pakistan.

Considering Shias are not allowed to take out muhharam procession in the valley Iran would be more concerned about how Kashmiri freedom fighters treat Kashmiri Shia population in the valley. I believe it's one of the reason why Iran is offering to mediate to begin with.

If the whole world couldn't bring India on the negotiating table despite wasting 70 years after agreeing to to hold plebiscite in Kashmir, what can Iran really do about it?

India will continue to oppress the voice of Kashmiri brothers and sisters until they either shun their demand of independence from Indua or eventually see the day with their own eyes after decades of struggle

It took over 200 years to get this subcontinent back from the clinge Of British Raj, The people of Kashmir are standing firm to see that day even if it comes after another 200 years

Well the conditions to hold plebiscite in Kashmir has been clearly defined, Maybe once Pakistan fulfill what's required of them the whole world might build enough pressure on India to start addressing Demand of Independence of Kashmir.

India will continue to tackle radical elements in the valley with an iron fist, as the first voice raised by Kashmiri brothers and sisters were against their own Kashmiri brothers and sisters of different faith to disturb the demography of the valley. These freedom fighters gave these options to minorities of the valley were: Ralive, Tsaliv ya Galive.

Irrelevant terror outfits? Really? I am sure Iran isn't too thrilled about ASJW which is part of Difa e Pakistan council. It's good that Pakistan has decided to fight terrorism within their territory but the whole region will be unstable until the groups which are active in Pakistan punjab aren't brought to justice.

Yes they have raised the issue about safety of Shias in the valley, once Kashmiri Pandits were forced out of valley freedom fighters took a liking to them.

Well for a fair resolution we need a neutral player to help mediate and also be very concerned about human rights. But I don't think Iran possess a stature above India or Pakistan and thus it may not be able to play any effective role. It has to be a country with significant influence on both countries. I doubt Iran has any.

Kashmir will not stay with India because we don't see India as a single country. It will be divided into smaller pieced due to so many freedom struggles.
