Iranians are no saint when it comes to "humanity." Ayatollah Khomeini is directly and/or indirectly responsible for deaths of many individuals and his Anti-US politics did not soften perceptions against Iran on the international stage. Sometimes, it is important to introspect.

Conversely, this was a tragic incident and there is no justification for it.

Long remembrance of disasters is an unhealthy thing. Here, the regime is just politically using this indecent to show a long lasting victim-hood. I mean it has been 29 years already. If we apply the same standards, then the regime should also think of the tens of thousands that were killed (including child soldiers) as a result of Khomeni's decision to prolong the war with Iraq unnecessarily, while ruthlessly ignoring all international efforts for cease fire.

Someone shot down MH17 ove Ukraine, killing several hundres innocent Dutch (including a female college of mine, with her husband and child): do you see the Dutch go mad all over this forum? It's immature and pointless.

They attacked our country... Killed Iranian arab citizens & invaded a part of our country !

Only sub-humans can accept cease fire ...

And i just remember how you losers financed iraq during war & supported launching ballistic missiles & chemical weapons against Iranian people but years later saddam gave you a big fucking thanks with launching ballistic missiles on you and invading Kuwait !

You are just going unreasonably defensive here Soheil jan. I wasn't referring to defending your country. I was referring to the period after Iranian territories were retaken. There was a long period of around 5-6 years of offensive operations against Iraq that were clearly unsuccessful, but Khomeni refused ending the war and the mutual return of both Iran and Iraq to International boarders. Many of Khomeni's own advisors asked him to accept this proposal (including Khaminai and Rafsanjani), but to no avail. This was just too much to the Iranian soldiers, their families, and the Iranian economy.
