Its amazing and tastes great with kinnows. The juices plus the salt just triples the fun.

What is the difference between this salt and the salt we know?
And why is it called black salt when it looks purple?

I think cuz in its original rock form it is dark (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kala_namak). Its found all across the Himalayas. Also as others have said before kinnow is a tangerine. Really juicy stuff and Punjab produces amazing tangerine.

They are the salt crystals. I think its also called soulemani something.

Massive difference of taste. White salt has a more stronger taste while the black salt has a chatpata taste.

Many in my family do eat minnows with white salt but majority eat it with black salt.

Although black salt is not for those that have BP issues. Double not.

We both googled the same picture. Lol

Lolzzz Google zindabad. :)

I don't think this one is called kala namak. This one also comes with fruits but kala namak is actually black in color.
Something like this but in powder form.

Nah bro. I have often eaten and bought kala namak from market and its like that. Especially with singharay from main market lahore.

I am going monthly shopping in a few days to hyper store so I can take a pick of kala namak and post it here. :p :p
