Its surprising though, this drone is very small, and territory Iran's radars has to cover is very large, how on Earth they detected it? Israel with the most advanced radars cant detect small drone even in tiny area. Does Iran possess the best radars in the World or something?

Why cant detect? it was detected and got shot. Iran have best propaganda in the world.

It was noticed optically, not with radars, otherwise drone wouldnt have been allowed to spy on military base and Dimona.

Optically? so there is a unit which scan the sky with visual aids as a backup to radars? what a numbnut
Dimona? it was 100km away from Dimona, spy? you assume or have a proof to it?

hahahahaha....that means iran doesnt need radars, because their eyes are as sharp as a radar...even better:azn:

Every single army in the World uses all possible means, not just radars, didnt know that "numbnut"? :azn:

Lets use common sense - Israel is extremely defensive and sensitive about anything what could compromise countries security, I think you will agree with it. Israel even attacks civilian ships in International waters or bombs other countries if they dont like anything. And now we have a drone which flies hundreds kilometers in Israel's territory, takes pictures of military base and Dimona, and only then gets shot down - and you buy the idea Israel noticed drone all along with radars, and just allowed him to fly where it wants in Israel? Sorry, that doesnt make sense, nor its correspond with Israel's usual behavior.

Lol,I'll never forget comments of many naive brainwashed Americans about RQ-170: They said RQ-170 was crashed in Iran and then they collected the remains, put it together and claimed it's downed. Some said Iran stole one of them from U.S airbase in Afghanistan, some said U.S gave it to Iran on purpose to foll them and spy on them.Heck, esome of them even said Iran has put many pillows under the crashing site,so it's almost intact.

Compared technologically to RQ-170, ScanEagle is nothing in my opinion. But here's the question : How the hell do they capture these drones? To be honest, I thought hacking these drones is almost impossible, now I'm believing it is possible.

There is another possibility : U.S gave it for free to us,as a present for Obama's reelection.

I think it is like in IT. same bug will be there in all the versions...like base code defect :-)

Good job Iran.
It shows 2 things to us .

1- how much Iranian radars are capable and they covering whole the sky and can even detect stealth drons in their borders.

2-iran ECM capable

Iran has some Russian radars, i hope they were useful to detect these drones beside Iranian radars.

It's not my business, but i have seen some pakistani and a few indians and many turks mocked iranian achivement.
the best example is the last news about new Iranian midget submarians.

http://www.defence.pk/forums/irania...unveils-unusually-blue-colored-submarine.html

some stupid people who even doesn't understand the color is light blue because these submarines should operate in Persian gulf. not in Ocean.
really???how stupid is this!i cant believe that in this crisis to which asian countries are passing through, are acting in that way, thanks for sharing your analysis,......:mod:

What hundreds kilometers? it flew 30km in Israeli territory, what military bases? Dimona? it wasnt near to Dimona to spy on it, and spy with what? where are the images? and what value these images will have? if hezbullah had them they would publish them! Maybe IAF wanted to examine the drone? to try and figure out is it preprogrammed flightpath or real-time control etc, it was closely escorted by F-16 so if anything threatening this drone might have attempt to do it could be easily and instantaneously shot down.

Well , Aiiob wasn't Iran's last tech ( Hezbollah is our ally but we won't give them our last tech for some obvious reasons ) and it go through Israel super heavy air defense and they need to fly an F-16 to shot down it ... it say something ......

Well , this drone has really high operation period ( It can fly for 20 hours .... ) so it not bad to see what engine it use .... and it is super tiny drone .......

I'm sure it is one of USA best option for spying on IRan ..... after all Predator detect so easily in last time ....

look like they put some satellite communication device to it ( I don't know exactly , but look at it ) :

Really Proud of Iran. You are in Every news websites and every comments are of how good strategic victory it is and so on. Really in drone battle Iran made 3 strikes but yet Iran is vulnerable. Iran lacks adequate Air force and Iran must develop some quality fighter jets. Is there any progress in this field?

Applause to Iran.
But I'd take extra care to check these things on active and potential inactive tracking and positioning devices before transporting them into military facilities. You never know if the Americans are (also) trying to find out where your technological high capable facilities are located, specializing in drones and similar hardware (just in case they lose a drone). You never know
Or potential booby traps.
