Iran Executes Second Kurdish Activist this Month Despite International Outcry
by TheTower.org Staff | 08.28.15 11:09 am

Iran hanged Behrouz Alkhani, a 30-year-old Kurdish man accused of “enmity against God” and involvement with the outlawed Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK), only weeks after the execution of Kurdish PJAK activist Sirvan Nezhavi on similar charges, Reutersreported yesterday. Alkhani’s sentence was still being appealed at the Supreme Court.

Behrouz Alkhani, 30, was convicted in 2011 of having ties to the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK), an outlawed group that seeks self-governance for Iran’s Kurds and has links to Turkey’s militant Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK).

He was also found guilty of being involved in the shooting of a public prosecutor in West Azerbaijan Province in 2010, which the authorities blamed on the PJAK.

Alkhani’s brother said that he had been a member of PJAK but had never taken up arms. Five other Kurds were executed for drug dealing at the same time.

After Sirvan Nezhavi was executed earlier this month, PJAK forces attacked a base of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Amnesty International, which called Alkhani’s trial “grossly unfair,” strongly condemned his execution, the Kurdish news site Rudaw reported:

“Today’s execution of Behrouz Alkhani, who was still waiting for the outcome of a Supreme Court appeal against his sentence, is a vicious act of cruelty by the Iranian authorities and a denigration of both Iranian and international law,” said Said Boumedouha, Deputy Director of Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Program.

According to Rudaw, the PJAK blamed the execution on the regime of President Hassan Rouhani.

Persecution of Iranian minorities has continued under Rouhani, who is often described as a moderate, with experts warning that the overall human rights situation in the Islamic Republic is worsening.

In May, Iran rejected United Nations criticism of its use of the death penalty, with an official calling the condemnations a “downright lie.” However, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, Ahmed Shaheed, noted that 753 people were executed in Iran during Rouhani’s first full year in office, the highest number in a decade.

Iran was recently caught forging documents in an attempt to frame Shaheed for accepting a $1 million bribe from Saudi Arabia.

.
Great news. Anyone who is affiliated with these terrorist groups will be hanged.

Zionists crying over hanging of terrorist affiliates. Why am I not surprised? After all, you do take care of ISIS members in your isreali hospitals and who knows what else

"TheTower.org was founded in January 2013 as a project of TIP, a nonpartisan 501(c)3 educational organization based in Washington D.C. that works to provide facts about Israel and the Middle East to press, policy makers and the public."

Sounds like another propaganda outlet where wealthy members of the chosen tribe brainwash the American sheeple to do Israel's bidding...

. . . . .
'International outcry'.

I almost throw up hearing that word.

This international group of idiots are only there when a terrorist or a drug dealer is hanged, but they suddenly close their eyes at the sight of how Europe is treating refugees like animals, how they die in mass numbers off the coasts of Europe, how they have closed their eyes on human right abuses by western allies like Saudi Arabia, Arab dictatorships and others, how they have stayed silent on or supported death and suffering of millions in Yemen while crying over situation in Syria, how they have totally ignored Bahrain peaceful revolution only because the regime is a tool of the west and thousands of other cases.

So, my answer to this 'group of international idiots who also happen to represent western ourcry and hypocrisy?

Go screw yourself.

If it is true that: "Alkhani’s brother said that he had been a member of PJAK but had never taken up arms. Five other Kurds were executed for drug dealing at the same time"

You can call it whatever you want but if he is being executed just because he was an affiliate with the group then his execution is a crime and the criminals should be prosecuted. Very similar to those 20000 executed in 1361 (Iranian date) and those executed after each MKO terrorist act in prison on retaliation. It is a shame that we don't see executing a guy, an Iranian because of his thoughts is crime against humanity! On 2nd level if he had taken arms and he was captured, executing the guy in prison after being captured is another criminal act and barbarism. It is unfortunate we see members comfortable with the barbarism inducted in the name of Iran and specially Islamic republic of Iran.

Ask people like you this : "Would you be supportive of this measure if that guy brutally murdered your family members ? cause he did murder someone's family member "

you'd still say no cause you're saying some senseless "shoar" . but think about it when you had sometime alone .

today was a very sad day for me , you know why ? i lost a patient . 52 year old female died of endocarditis and she really suffered a lot . if she just could make it through the day she was going to have a surgery and get her heart fixed .

she could literally have lived for another 2 decades .

yet when i saw this news i was really more than happy . you know why ? cause IRI security officials whom i trust more than my eyes have made this country one of the most secure and safe countries in the world .

i hold pride in them and i love them more than myself . they are the reason why Iran is not pakistan , afghanistan , Iraq , Syria , Lebanon , KSA and literally all other ME nation .

they are the reason why our women can come out and have a blast of a night in 03:00 AM in the middle of the night and come back to their families being more than safe and healthy , while women in US might not have some of these privileges in some areas .

believe me , i know what i'm talking about . you think it's the angles sent from lord himself who are preventing suicide bombers and fanatic bastard terrorists to cross our borders and blow our people up ?

no!!!

we are giving martyrs over this . people's Sons and fathers have sacrificed their lives for this .

you're living in canada so you might have little idea what i'm talking about .

ALCON , PEJAK has killed more Iranians than you think . and they are not a cultural centre , they are a terrorist organization : there is no "not talking up arms" . its BS .

I'm a kurd myself , so i know better than everyone here whats going on .

your input please : @mohsen @Daneshmand @kollang

and specially @rahi2357 i'd love to hear your inputs bro , cause "momkene az mokhalef haye een amal bashi , momkenam has nabashi , vaghean doost daram bedoonam kodoome"

Only in the last few weeks, we have seen terrorist actions occur in Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. On a bigger scale, we see what is going on in Yemen, Syria, Libya, and Iraq. Last few years, we have heard about bigger terrorist actions in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and western countries. Further east, we even saw what happened in Thailand.

Given Iran has many enemies, millions of dollars poured in to various groups to destabilize it, and various ethnicity, it is astounding that we experience none of that.

Therefore, the government is doing something right. If you living in Canada are offended by it, I can understand. But stability & security of a nation is a very sensitive thing. If it shakes, it can go to ruins in a matter of months.

Any Iranian that associates with terrorist organizations should bear the consequences of the hammer of the law. If it's harsh, then he is free to move out of Iran, work in one of those satellite channels, and curse the society day in and day out. But as long as he is in Iran, he should understand that his actions could destabilize a country of 80 million people. No person should have that opportunity, and the government should be not only applauded, but encouraged to take a tough stance.

This is not about Alikhani's case in particular.

Governments do not participate in retaliations with groups that are opposed to it. They do not murder people because of their believes. If your security requires crack down on people civil rights then at the end you may or may not achieve security but the outcome is what Nietzsche has told before:

"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you"

It is every Iranian right to oppose the government, seek independence from central government, actively and peacefully advocate his views in support of groups and in case of terrorist organization that may be banned. Any affiliation unless act of terrorism against the population, should not result in capital punishment! This is basic human right and law. This law does not have borders and countries associated to it. It doesn't depend on being Canadian or live in Canada, it is universal.

Having said that, the security forces of this regime have committed crimes since 1359 (Iranian Calendar) along with Khalkhali and the leaders of this regime, which these acts are just reminder of such. All in the name similar to what you describe saving the country and the regime! When the lines of humanity is crossed those in power may misuse it whenever they have the opportunity.

As much as I hate MKO because of their acts and beliefs. After Mersad (Forough javidan) in 1367 thousands of MKO supporters and other prisoners were executed in the prisons. In 1361 again 20 thousand executed. in 1388 many green activists were sent to prison and disappeared. These are all acts against humanity. These all happened in the name of government retaliation and security of country and regime. Despite whatever the regime does till these crimes are not answered for it is responsible and will be hold in public and international tribunal one day.

It is sad to see those whom should understand the value of life or people who have High IQ and understanding support it. This is what is called brain washed under totalitarian regime. Something that makes changing the regime towards something better for Iranian people harder and harder as the day passes by.
