Iran engages in provocation with UAE: Guards chief visits disputed Gulf lnd

That does not mean Iran wouldn't be able to counter them either. In fact, there are more chances of Iran being able to do so rather than not as evident from history. We must judge on probabilities.

Wrong. It's impossible to counter sanctions, as it only hurts your country and there's very little you can do about it.

Hmm, I don't understand your view. You said you take more neutral view yet you are quite anti Iranian here. Is it because of your personal problems with Abii?

I am NOT anti-Iranian, you should have been able to figure that out from my post above. Abii has shown to be ignorant, while what I state is based on what I feel, Abii's ignorance played a part as well.

Or maybe the person you think is a mass murderer, is not a mass murderer after all?

I've seen enough evidence.

Looks good. :D

Why did you stop using it?

Oh please, do not get me started Solomon. I was only comparing Pakistan and Iran because others compared the two first. I do not wish to compare the two, but I will definitely go for it if I'm pushed far enough.

And women in Iran do not in any way have more freedom than their Pakistani counterparts.

Personally, I think iranian girls tend to be much more liberal minded (in the west) compared to their south asian or arabian counterparts. Just my experience...

The problem with pakistan is the literacy rate... For females, it is horribly low at 46%. Education is the forefront of development. What is the value of freedom if there is no education in the first place.

Iran has been doing so for the last 30 years. And Iran's economic growth has actually been higher than Saudi arabia as outlined earlier. How is this possible if sanctions are "impossible" to overcome?

Yes, Iran has the advantage of oil which is why Iran is close to India, China and Russia. But every situation is different. For Iran, sanctions have actually increased domestic self sufficiency. WB report ranks Iran 3rd after China and India for Industrial growth.

Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Happy? :D

I said freedom, Solomon. Being liberal minded, and education has nothing to do with this.

I've responded to this post 3 times already.

Not really... You did not touch the crux of the argument.

If you are correct, why is it that pakistan ranks lower in gender equality index? Both are bad, but pakistan ranks lower.

Gender equality index = Iran 96, pakistan 115

Education is the key to freedom. Without education, people will never be able to break the shackles.

They are much more liberal even if they remain in their native country :P

Food for thought: As the sanctions pile up & more countries stop buying Iranian oil(or buying it dirt cheap), how long will it take Iran to be the next Somalia?

a)2 years
b)5 years
c)10 years
d)Iran will turn into Somalia because of war not sanctions.

iran overcame all of sanctions even in a 8 years war, so we can handle any sanction to the day after "ghiamat" haha

Yes in fact I do remember the Tanker War very well how it started and how it ended want me to remind you?? Here:

"When the two Iranian F-4 fighter planes flew over Saudi Arabian territorial waters last week, they seemed to set the stage for yet another attack on a tanker doing business with Iran's sworn enemy, Iraq. But this time the story was different: the planes were intercepted by two Saudi F-15 fighters firing air-to-air missiles. One, and possibly both, of the Iranian planes was shot down. A short time later, Iran sent eleven more F-4s into the skies over the Persian Gulf. Again, the Saudis intercepted them. After a brief standoff, the Iranian planes withdrew."

they were chasing iraqi jet fighters which wanted to land on your airports , it was happening all the time and in fact surprised us 'cause most of time iraqi pilots instead of turning to the west to comeback to their territory were turning to the south . the reason was some bastards over there were playing a dirty business on Iranian bloods by allowing Iraqi regime to use their airports ...
