Iran demands $4 bn from Russia over cancelled missile deal

.
On another day, Thomas would be saying the exact opposite: that Iran is making a mistake by trusting Russia (or some **** like that).

Interesting.

Do UN sanctions implicitly contain a grandfather clause to exempt existing contracts? If so, Iran would have a case. Otherwise, I don't see how you can fault Russia for obeying international law.

sanctions did not and do not cover AA. Russia was not obligated to cancel the deal. It only did it b/c of American pressure.

today Russia don't have balls like SOVIET UNION

The Russians had paid the prepaid money back. So it comes as a surprise why Iran is still pushing the law suit forward. Well, 4$ Billion could be a good money for R&D for Iran to build her own Bavar-373, but again Iran isn't in need of that money really and it should be weighed to see whether our military ties with Russia are more important or this 4$ bn money that won't be easily given to Iran.

and here is another side of coin, why would Russia lose this big business of arm supply while US has so much job problems that right now they are selling arms to Syrian terrorists also to have more jobs in US? why would russia lose such a wealthy customer, Iran, who may buy even 120 SU35BM and 120 Mig35 also, along with over 20 regiments of the latest S400? Russia just put an order of 50 Mig35 and hopefully India has also already signed a deal for 50 Mig35 for its own, as per the news we are getting. then here, isn't it cheap to run production line if Iran may also make an order for 120 Mig35, which they are capable of?

rest, 120 air superiority SU35bm and 120 multi rule Mig35 with S400 for Iran will be enough to help us have a credible power balance in Asia
